So Simple and Yet So Outstanding!
I have been using the QuickPush Chopper everyday for about 1 week now and I am stunned to find myself describing somethign as simple as 'a veggie chopper' as being "Outstanding". I say "Outstanding" because:1. The design is simple, uncluttered, unfussy and effective - simple to use, simple to clean, simple to maintain.2. The manufacture is of a very high standard and is all the plastic and moving parts are robust, and the steel blades are sharp and also robust.3. The effectiveness of use is consistent across a wide range of foodstuffs - soft, squishy, ripe tomatoes through to tough, thick sweet potatoes, turnips and cleriac; hard leafy cabbage to soft leafy lettuces; dense winter squashes and softer, summer squashes; onions, leeks, fennel and shallots; apples, pears, bananas and mangoes.Quality. When I watch adverts promoting American household items the main 'selling point' usually seems to be "time saving". Well, I live in rural France and, although I am British, I love cooking in the French-style. Quality and consistency are the critical success factors in French cuisines, not speed or convenience, and here is where I see the outstanding benefit of Brieftons Quickpush Chopper. The shape, size and consistency of chop, irrespective of the foodstuff, is fantastic - far superior than anything I can manage with my best Sabatier-K knife. (And, by the way, in a fraction of the time!!)I have been surprised and delighted by something I bought initially as an 'extra bit of kitchen kit', primarily to help my otherwise non-cooking partner, when they do make an effort to rustle-up a "spag-bol" or veggie casserole. This 'extra bit of kitchen kit' has rapidly turned into 'an essential bit of kitchen kit' and could well be putting some of my Sabatiers out of work!I strongly recommend the Brieftons QuickPush Chopper.PS - The Brieftons Spiralizer is fantastic as well!

Brieftons QuickPush Food Chopper
Brieftons QuickPush Food Chopper is the best gadget I have bought in the past 3-4 years. It is very simple, and has only two blades - I have not tried the small one so far, because the bigger one (which is small anyway), answers to all my chopping needs - be that chopping veggies for a Russian salad or for making soups or cooking other dishes. It assembles and dismantles easily, it is easy to wash - complete with a tiny but precise comb for making sure the top bit grate is washed properly. It is exactly what you see on the picture - and yet surprisingly usefulHusband said the pieces were too small when I first used it to chop veggies for a Russian salad - but now even he thinks the chopper is good :) it definitely saves time and effort in the kitchen. I am very pleased with it.Still have not found a good mandolin grater - bought zillions of various novelty sets - to no avail... Adding this just to show that I am not a very easy one to please. However, the chopper is just the right one so far :)

Nice design, not perfect, but good tool if used properly.
I bought this for chopping salad vegetables and for chopping vegetables small enough for my four-year old son's meals. I'm pretty pleased with it so far, so here's the pros and consPros:1. If you have a lot of veg to do, any more than one or two pieces, this is definitely much, much quicker if you're not a samurai with a kitchen knife.2. Some veg are an absolute breeze - potato cubes, radishes, sweet potatoes and so on are cut in no time3. It's very easy to separate into parts and clean. The comb thing works well under running water.Cons:1. You have to chop harder root vegetables pretty small before using it as they're liable to get stuck halfway through requiring a lot of pushing to finish the job off, especially with the smallest blade. So carrots, for example, I always chop into 1cm discs before dicing them smaller.2. I discovered the above the hard way. As a result of using a thick piece of carrot with the smallest square blade I shaved a small piece of plastic on the upper part off when trying to force it through, which fell into the veg.3. I don't think it's great with fleshy veg. Onion, which I like in small pieces, often gets stuck. Cutting a pepper to the right shape to then dice is not worth the hassle. Cucumber only works if you go with thin discs like the carrot I find.So now that I've learned its good points and its limitations I'm pleased with it. It's a clever design. I like to make up enough mixed salad to last a couple of days and also things like stews, so 4 out of 5. It loses a star because it's not perfect and it's a bit pointless if you only need to chop a couple of individual pieces. But if you're careful with it I think you'll be pleased.

Impressed!
A good little kitchen aid and will take the arduous job of chopping out of cooking. I found slicing the onion is better than putting a half onion in and it's excellent for peppers. much stronger than I thought it would be and would definitely recommend

Highly recommended
This is a fantastic chopper. Blades are so sharp. I bulk cook and this has been so time saving. When I chop up vegetables I can’t get them as small as this. This product has been a game changer for me and a very good price too. It would be a little hard to wash up but the plastic scraper that comes with it makes it so easy to get the veg out of the blades. Highly recommend this product. I would buy for a present for someone.
