First off, there are some marks on the handle by the plug, as per photos. it looks like someone has been attempting to remove the removable connecter without following the instructions, is this a new gun? well there's no other marks or dirt on it so i can't explain it. I tested this on the bench for about an hour and i am very impressed. monitoring the temperature just inside the nozzle showed that at lower settings it runs a little cooler than the chosen setting, maybe by 10 degrees C or so. when you get up towards 125-150 C it is much more accurate. That won't be a problem unless you want pinpoint accuracy for some reason. Overall i was very impressed . The only thing i noticed and its not a criticism, is that at times the fan speed hunted up and down slightly. I doubt this is a fault, I suspect it is the ECU adjusting both the fan speed and the temperature very quickly to maintain the correct setting, A big plus is that the cooling down cycle is good for blowing cool air to set any plastics in shape if you have been bending pipes etc. The case is sturdy and you don't need to take a pic to be able to put it all back in again. the accessory's are great and will be fine for most jobs. It's not cheap, but i recon it's worth every penny if its reliable. If registered within 4 weeks you get a 3 year warranty.
