I bought this for my own use. It's designed for kids but I think safety is good for adults too. :) RING: The ring on the knife is 18mm inside, fine for most people, but measure your finger if in doubt. FINGER GUARD: The knife definitely feels safer with this. BLADE TIP: The tip of the blade is not pointy but will still cut. HANDLE QUALITY: Okay, not amazing. Has gaps for dirt to go in, as you can see in the official product photos. Not a big problem for me. BLADE: Nice and shiny, feels well made. Very thin, 1.7mm at the top, tapering down to 0.3mm or so. It's sharp, cuts well and can be sharpened easily. It does not quite touch the chopping board surface at the area closest to the handle due to a slightly raised bolster. (see photo below) SIZE: 4" blade and 4" handle. About 70g, which is "featherweight". CONCLUSION: I'm very happy with it considering the price. I paid £27 including shipping for it from another store, and right after I got it the Amazon price went down to £27 total as well. Worth it.

Lovely little knife. Expensive for what it is, but has made cooking with my little one more fun

Good sized first knife for an 8 year old. The finger shield works well to protect little hands. It is fairly sharp but the blade itself is fairly poor quality with a rough poorly finished edge. Not bad for the price but could be better quality.

this is a fantastic quality knife. Really easy to use for both left and right handed kids. My 3 have all used it ages 3, 7 and 8 and they’ve all managed perfectly. It cuts through soft fruits effortlessly and carrots and potatoes really well for stronger older kids. It’s better than most of the knives in my kitchen to be honest.

Brought this for my daughter who is 4. She loves cooking and was getting frustrated using children's plastic knives. She loves this, it gives her the ability to "cut carrots properly" its given her confidence and knife skills she was craving. Always use with adult supervision, make sure you have safe knife skills before teaching. Jamie Oliver has some good tips for learning to use a knife.

Although intended for youngsters, I bought one having seen the one bought for young grandsons, and I find it is great to use for chopping and dicing vegetables. I have small hands (can’t get my fingers in the guard however) and it is very easy and light to use. I find normal sized cooks knifes large and uncomfortable. A really good buy,

This is a quality item, made by a respected manufacturer. My budding chef daughter uses it pretty miserable daily and likes having her own knife. The stainless steel holds its edge well, and only needs occasional sharpening. It is sharp though (certainly not a toy) so, if a child is using it, teach them to use it safely.

Brilliant knife to learn to chop food for little ones. A really sharp knife in it's own right so useful to adults to use too. Definitely recommend and my son loves using it.

Der Preis mag vielleicht etwas hoch wirken. Doch mit der Langlebigkeit des Produkts, worauf die Qualität schließen lässt, ist dies wahrscheinlich sogar ein Messer, was Generationen nutzen könnten. Der Junior in der Küche - frustriert vom Buttermesser - legte intuitiv den Fingerschutz korrekt an und schneidet binnen kurzer Zeit Gemüse etc. schon recht akkurat. Die Klinge schneidet ausgezeichnet, die gefährdeten Finger an schneidender als auch haltender Hand sind sicher untergebracht. Und der Junior kann es viele Jahre benutzen.
