This was an easy to fit socket cover. Bought for my mother who has dementia - and was sometimes turning off the fridge/freezer at the wall instead of (or as well as) the microwave in the next socket. It won't stop a determined person from getting in, but the cover clicks firmly enough into place and hides the switch from view. It's worked well to prevent further accidents and has paid for itself in terms of avoiding spoiled/wasted food.

My toddler is obsessed with sockets. I’ve had these in my kitchen for a few years as I don’t like the look of plugs above the kitchen worktops, so I bought 4 more to baby proof lower sockets and will be buying more. My toddler is very strong he can’t get into them at all. Because he’s so strong I can’t rely on stick on covers so the fact that these click around the sockets themselves is great. Easy to install with a screw driver. They were a bit snug around a couple of my sockets but a little force and they snapped right on and are very sturdy. Easy to open but obviously not if you’re a toddler. The only reason I knocked a star off is because the gaps left for the cables don’t line up right so I had to soften the plastic with a lighter and cut a piece off with a Stanley knife, which was easy enough but a bit irritating to have to do. I think an open bottom would make more sense. Saw some other reviewers had to do the same. Showed in the photos what the bottom looks like and what I had to cut off. A couple of them don’t immediately lock and I have to give them a little bang to snap it shut. All in all the pros outweigh the cons and I highly recommend them.

Work perfectly for what we needed, had to cut a bit off at the bottom to fit a wider plug towards the wire, good price for what they are, unsure if they will remain sturdy if opened and closed often but we wont be so will never know

Bought to cover a combined oven switch and mains socket which had been fitted to the back of the cupboard above the oven. On several occassions we'd lost power due to items in the cupboard being pushed too far back, moving the switch to off. After having to seek out the oven instruction manual to reset the clock and the microwave manual to reset the default 30 beeps (why Neff?) to 3, on too many occassions, this looked like an ideal solution. Happy to say it was easy to fit, works as required and installed on a surface pattress without issue. Recommended.

Easy to install product just loosen socket and slip behind existing one. I would say they are a little expensive for a floppy piece of plastic but I think the design has the market cornered and not much else that does the job out there. Closing requires a bit of gently force to flex the lid into the slots, I have 2 of these and they are both the same so it's not like I'm fitting them wrong. They do secure ok and push home with a little wiggle. I guess these are a short term prevention and whilst covering up the plugholes the baby still is intrigued with the wires coming out the bottom but I guess that's to be expected and will get bored eventually. Although these are quite deep they aren't deep enough to house phone chargers like the Samsung pop out ones that charge phones at full speed so keep that in mind. Obviously multi plugs won't fit either but the best option is the multi strips which work just fine, but then move the problem of exposed plugholes and plugs so just defeats the purpose of the covers.
