I absolutely adore this speaker
I've had two of these so far. I use it nightly to listen to audio books as I go to sleep. The first one lasted two years and even worked through getting fairly wet, but I think I finally wore it out. I ordered a second one and it is fantastic too. It has a good sound quality that I can hear through most pillows (except for very dense memory foam). It also has a fairly good battery life as well, but i do charge every morning. I highly recommend this speaker!

I Like It A Lot - Could Be Some Software Changes
I do not believe I will ever find the ultimate pillow speaker in my price range but I do like this one... mostly. My main issues are software related and I believe could be addressed. When it boots up, why does it say "Drowsie connected" so loud? Next, I get it set at the volume I want and set the sleep timer. If I wake up in the middle of the night and decide to turn it back on, some of the time (but not all the time) it boots back up at a loud volume. I cover It with a pillow to muffle the sound but it may and does wake my wife. It would be nice if it consistently stayed at the volume I set it at. It would also be great if the boot up announcement was at that level as well. A big reason for using a pillow speaker is to keep from waking the person next to you. I could understand it not remembering volume level if the battery went flat but that isn't the case here. The two hour, four hour, eight hour sleep timers are a bit long in my opinion. Maybe thirty minutes, one hour, two hours and no timer (just my opinion)? Shorter timers would also allow more nights between charges. It could come with a washable cover. Would I recommend the Drowsie? Definately.

I love it!
I love to listen to podcasts as I fall asleep, so I researched under-pillow speakers and this one seemed to have the design that took care of all my concerns. I was most worried about the battery overheating under the pillow. Since it's so long, the battery and controls stick out from under the pillow while I can still hear it if my head is in the middle of my pillow. You can control the volume, change the track, pause/play, and set/cancel a 2 or 4 hour timer so it saves battery after you fall asleep. The only weird thing is the timer doesn't completely turn off the Drowsie, it's still connected to my phone's Bluetooth in the morning. This has made it difficult to use with my sleep tracking app that gives me an alarm during a provided wakeup window. The alarm sounded through the Drowsie, which was not loud enough to wake me. Thankfully I set a backup alarm in the Samsung app, and that alarm sounded through the Drowsie and the phone. It's a mild inconvenience compared to all the benefits the Drowsie delivers, though.I used to fall asleep with a single earbud in, but my ear would often ache the next morning. Or I would find the earbud rolling around in the bed the next morning. Using an earbud meant I couldn't find my most comfortable sleeping position because I had to pick one side, or sleep on my back. Now it doesn't matter, I love this thing!Edit: The Drowsie now fully disconnects from my phone when I use the timer on the Drowsie, so I can use my sleep app or any alarm without issue. It happened after the most recent Android update, so it appears it wasn't an issue with the Drowsie itself.

Good idea but needs tweaking
I got this because my audiologist suggested it for tinnitus, to play sounds that mask it and finally be able to sleep.Well, it’s a great idea, but it does NOT work through my memory foam pillow (which I’m not willing to switch because it’s perfection). I even tried the volume “hack” they give you in the directions but it’s still not loud enough, plus the quality is not necessarily the best (this I’m ok with, it’s good enough for my purposes). Also, the fact that you can’t remove the speakers to wash the fabric is almost unacceptable to me. If I’m going to have something so close to my face while I sleep, I need it to be clean, that’s why I started using a little fabric cover, but I can already see how it’s getting dirty after a month or so.I usually put it next to my head, on my pillow, when the tinnitus gets really loud at night, otherwise I just use my phone and put it on the nightstand.I’m keeping it because it serves a purpose but I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone. If they fixed those flaws I’d buy it again.

Old version? GREAT! New one? It won’t charge…
I bought this speaker twice now. The first one I bought is MicroUSB charged and still works great today. I use it to listen to videos while falling asleep. You do have to position it just right and turn volume to at least 50% but it works great and I’ve used it for about while now.I loved it so much that I bought a second one for travel since I often forget to pack little things like this, and what I got was NOT the same as the original one I bought. The form factor is the same and all, but the boot up voice is different and the charging is USBC now. Initially I liked that! But now I have to worry about a charger being too smart and thinking nothing is plugged in, presumably because this little thing doesn’t need a ton of power to charge up. I now find myself on a trip with a dead speaker and I can’t get it to charge. Super disappointed.

This worked great until it didn't.
This item was perfect the first time I used it. The sound was great and I could hear it and not disturb anyone else. But then it would not re-charge. It had 4 star reviews, so my experience might have been an anomaly.

Truly soundless beyond your pillow
I've used this for about three nights so far. Each time, I've lifted my head off of the pillow to confirm that it really was soundless because I could hear my phone's audio very clearly with my head on the pillow. I thought to myself that there's no way that this isn't able to be heard by someone else. But each time I lifted my head to check, I couldn't hear the audio at all. And this is exactly as intended. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this works! The timing features for clicking the left button to select one hour, two hours, or all night were very easy to do. These speakers are really cool! :D

Just as described
I loved that it is as described. A little difficult when it needs to be charged, but with patience it is very doable.

Best I've found
I've tried a few of these types of speakers. Some are a bit "bricky". This one is very flat and I would defy anyone to be annoyed by it under the pillow. I find it a bit fiddly to plug in. I manage, but there's no way my elderly mum would cope.Best of these that I've tried.Size - very good.Sound quality - perfectly acceptable to me, and impressive for the size.Controls - could be better, but for the price and comfort I'm happy to compromise

No painful ears
This product is brilliant. My first one had a problem charging but it was replaced. No painful ears from ear buds. No headband slipping off. It’s so easy to use. Highly recommend it. One point. Might not be easy to hear through a memory foam pillow.

Excellent producty and customer service
This flat soft light pillow speaker is great to put on my pillow to fall asleep to white noise. Easy to charge and long life. When I had a problem with my speaker that wasn't charging properly, they replied promptly and agreed to replace it FOC. Highly recommended and will buy again. The treble stopped working for a while, then started working again. Strange.
