Q: what is the difference between this oil and the lucas 10-40 semi synthetic with the red label?

The blue label says it "Use in ALL air-cooled and water-cooled 2 stroke and 4-stroke engines" while the red says only 4 strokes. Both are for wet clutch applications: (both) "Formulated with clutch saving technology, a must for wet clutch applications and high RPM engines."

Q: Is this a good oil for lowering engine temperatures?

If you’re wanting to lower oil temps you’re gonna want a thicker oil I run 15-40 in some of my machines
