It looks great a real piece of art and yet as expected totally useable and reassuringly well made with good weight. The lamp arrived needing a small amount of assembly and a bulb in the pack, the latter of which a great idea but it provides a very yellow light. This is a pity as I like a white light for reading so I replaced bulb within a couple of days from B and Q. I have the lamp next to my chair for additional light while reading it’s excellent for this purpose as it’s completely adjustable and not too large and provides good light. Only slight improvement would be a switch nearer or indeed on the lamp as per the even more expensive versions! As the switch on this lamp is on the power cable.

Robust, heavy, well made - the base is weighty and the lamp head doesn't heat up, which has made it ideal for our children's room. Beautiful piece of craftsmanship - although struggled to get the screw to catch at the base - so need to look into this further.That aside, it's easy to assemble with simply screwing the arm onto the base and looping the springs around the allocated grooves.Came with a light bulb too.Hope to get more at a later stage as they are superior to any other light we have owned so far in terms of build quality.

I love this lamp! The original design is so nice and a pleasure to use. It is so easy to move the lamp into a desired position and it stays there. It has a lovely gloss black finish and the braided cable gives it an 'old school' look. The included bulb does have quite a reddish hue to it, I would have preferred a bit of a more whiter white, but you can get different bulbs to suit your preference.Set up was easy, all you have to do is place the lamp onto the base unit and use a screw to hold it in place. You jest then attach 2 of the springs which takes no effort and that's it, it;s good to go.The only issue for me is that the cable is a bit 'curled up' in places which I can't seem to straighten out completely, other than that though, I really like this lamp, it looks great on my desk.

I had an original (large) Anglepoise desk lamp in the 1960s so I knew how good the design was. I have more recently tried cheaper desk lamps to increase the illumination of my sewing machine but all have been inadequate or failed completely. Eventually, I decided to pay the price and buy another Anglepoise lamp. I chose the Mini version this time as space on my sewing table is limited. The lamp arrived, very well packed, within 48 hours and was easy to put together (fit 2 springs, place the lamp on its base and fix with a small screw and allen key - all supplied).I stress that it takes an E27 bulb because, having read in reviews here and on other sellers' websites that it takes an E14 bulb, I ordered an e14 bulb daylight bulb which I now cannot use. The Anglepoise comes with an E27 bulb but it is a warm white 5.5w LED 40w equivalent and not suitable for the high daylight illumination that I need. A maximum LED 10w bulb can be used (as indicated on the lamp shade).The Anglepoise is an expensive purchase but is worth the price for the quality of build and level of flexibility achievable.

Its a beautiful lamp, with a fabulous finish. The shade stays where its been set as the design is perfectly balanced.Its going to last forever so choose a classic shade that will go with your evolving household and it will be the best money you've spent on a lamp.

This is now sitting on my desk as I write. I have long wanted one but found that the full size just that little too big for my rather crowded desk. This is perfect.If pressed on pain-of-death to make a criticism, it would have to be the base-to-frame fixing. It is not quite as wobble-free as I would have liked, but once positioned it stays just where it is put, so not really a grumble at all.Overall, an excellent purchase and when the price drops again, I shall get one for my lovely wife too.

Nothing to dislike, it’s a fine desk lamp

I really like this.Some reviews are suggesting it's poor quality, but I can't find any problems with mine.It's all metal, weighs a ton and has a huge range of adjustment. Once you put it where you want it, it stays there too.It's a very satifying replacement for the cheapo bendy stemmed thing I had before.Expensive, at least it is for my pocket, but I think it's worth it. I am confident that it's a lamp for life.
