Grind
The media could not be loaded. Very good option to grind the smallest corn grains so I can feed the smallest birds and the food yields moreI don't give it 5 stars because it doesn't seal very well and a lot of dust escapes when grinding

Broke in the first 3 mins
One of the bolts was not secure from the factory. Within 3 minutes of milling some grains, it started milling the loose bolt too. Was so excited for this thing and so disappointed. Had it been secured properly , would probably be a good mill.

Fantastic
I really was surprised at the size and how light weight this grinder is. I think I made a mistake in choosing the 50L as the 25L would have been a great size but, I can absolutely work with this and am excited to finally have one. This is a tool I have wanted for some time for making my own flour and in particular, from spent grains used in making beer. I will be testing it out on this very soon as I recently was given a fresh bag that is drying and will be ready soon. I tested this out using farro with the finest grind option and the last photo shows that result which is much like a very fine cornmeal. As expected, and advised, it is very loud so you definitely want to wear protection. The dust level was not too bad but, I also forgot to line the can with a plastic bag to catch my flour and I have a feeling that may help cut that down even more as well as providing a better method of capturing my flour and easier clean up. Really so pleased with this and if there is ever a 1mm sieve offered, I will be getting that too.

REMOVE THE BASKET ATTACHED TO THE GRINDER FIRST!!!
Apparently, they attach a basket/sieve to the grinder and then store tools in there. TAKE THE BASKET/SIEVE OFF BEFORE YOU USE IT!!! The two parts in the picture are 1. a small bar that I cannot identify at all and 2. what looks like a wrench (or what's left of it...) for the nuts on the basket/sieve. NOWHERE does it tell you they store tools under there! I turned it on and it threw the wrench through the basket/sieve so now I am down one sieve and whatever those parts are...I hope the company will see this and fixes the glitch.. and maybe replace the basket/sieve. It works well otherwise.

This hammer mill is built really well, and I can't say enough good things about it.Although I thought that I had ordered the 50L hammer-mill, what I actually got was the 25L mill. I'm so glad that I had this oversight! The 25L hammer-mill is the perfect size mill for my particular needs. I've always wanted one, but they were just too expensive for me to take the plunge into milling my own cake and bread flour. This product is affordable and built to last. It grinds a very fine flour for making cakes and breads. I love it. Its easy to use and very user friendly. I couldn't wait to unbox it and give it a go. I'm very happy with this grain mill. I highly recommend this product.update-Pro Tip: If you want a really good, fine grind, something which is very helpful in accomplishing this, is to freeze your grain ahead of time. Keep it in just long enough to get to freezing temp. The grain literally explodes and shatters when the hammer first hits it. This really breaks it up. And at a point before you've really started to grind the grain. I get some really nice fine flour like this.
