Excellent Product!
Let me start by stating that I own several ferrule crimpers, both square and shoelace. This is by far, my new favorite [square] ferrule crimper!Pros:~ The crimp tool feels very sturdy, with a nice soft grip that accommodates my larger hands quite well.~ The included ferrules are excellent quality! Out of the handful of each that I tested, every one tests at 0R resistance. They are flexible, but not so flexible that they’ll easily tear during the crimping process.~The ferrules are sized accurately to the American Wiring Gauge standard.~Unlike some even more expensive brands that utilize sneaky verbiage to describe their products, Preciva is completely honest in their description of their product.~The price! I would expect to pay double the current price for this well packaged kit. They even included a well laid out and easy to read multi-page manual which will really help newcomers to ferrules and how to utilize them.Cons:~Doesn’t make delicious waffles.I’m including a photo of several gauges of wire, all “car audio” OFC which is slightly oversized but still managed to squeeze into the ferrules just fine. In order; 8awg, 12awg, 14awg, 16awg and 18awg primary wire. Again, all OFC and all slightly oversized to the AWG standard. They all fit snug and crimped perfect, every time.TL;DR:Excellent product and an amazing price! My recommendation is to buy these now before they realize they can sell them for a lot more than their current asking price!

OMG! Where has this tool been all my life?
Edit 11/7/2020: I've been using this set for a couple of weeks at work. I'm still impressed at how easy it is to apply the ferrules, and how well the ferrules hold onto the wire. I've since bought some double ferrules of various sizes (other vendors), and some more of the larger sized ferrules since 25 of the 8 awg (10mm2, which they say is 7awg?) didn't last me very long. I work for a solar/HVAC/electrical contractor, and I've been using the kit almost daily. The only issue I've had, and it isn't a fault of this setup, is that the 10awg ferrules don't hold at all in Wago/lever nuts. That really is fine, because the Wagos are listed for use with stranded and fine stranded conductors without ferrules anyway.Using ferrules on stranded wire before connecting to a breaker or ground/neutral bar seems to give a superior contact pad. I've sacrificed some 12 and 14awg ferrules to test pull-out performance, but I haven't spent any $ on a calibrated pull gauge. I might update this review if I ever do. I tried to upload a video, but AMZN seems to have a problem with my file. I might try to get another video later this week.Original review:This tool is great! It worked perfectly right out of the box, and I didn't have to adjust the crimp force. I used it to redo some stranded 20awg and 10awg wire connections around my house. It went from one size to the other seamlessly and without fuss. I like the variety of ferrules it came with, but I can see I will need to stock up if I want to use them for everything (which I will). It will definitely help to set my work apart from those who don't use a ferrules in their work.Buy it. It's worth it.

Invaluable tool I never knew I needed--but now can't do without!
Don't ask me how I got along without this tool in the past. A friend that works for a power utility loaned me his--and after the first ferrule was crimped, I stopped, went inside to my computer, and ordered this little gem.It makes the cleanest terminations for electrical panels you've ever seen--and no worries about the lug smashing the stranded wires in every direction--it essentially converts a stranded wire into a solid copper end with flat sides, maximizing electrical contact! Any set-screw lug connection point is dramatically improved with this tool.Get yourself one and be the envy of your electrician friends!Highly, highly recommended!

The Ferrule Crimper Performed as Expected, and One Gripe About Some Vendors
Just yesterday, after only having the crimper in my possession for less that a week, I used it to crimp 5, ferrules onto size 10 gauge wire. It could not be easier. I am building a portable, emergency battery backup system using 2, 12 volt, 230 amp hour batteries wired in series to provide 24 volts to an all-in-one inverter/charger. The all-in-one requires connecting power cords to the unit for the purpose of providing input and output power. The addition of ferrules to the wire ends makes wiring to the all-in-one, or anything for that matter, cleaner and far easier than without using the ferrules. It was definitely worth the price. The only gripe I have... not about the crimper itself, is an overall comment about vendors barely providing the buyer time to use a product before requesting a review of the product. I barely had the crimper in my possession 5 days before the seller, TPSKJ requested a review. This is very annoying. There have been numerous cases when after receiving a product, I have received a review request 1 or 2 days later. This is unreasonable. There are many situations when a product won't be used for days or weeks at a time.Yes, this is a curmudgeon typing this reality-based gripe."GET OFF MY LAWN!"

Nice kit and will be handy!
Saw this kit in use on James Condons small engine YouTube channel. Used my kit for a small solar project. Nice connectors and tool plus case. Good value!
