This "Chunbrommisam Steam Train Building Block" Model Train Set is a nice building block set that ends up with a very nice "Steam Train Model" in a bit of a "diorama" setting.This is a fairly straight forward build with nice "details", and a "Retro" look Steam Train Engine and "fuel / water" car, on a section of "track". The "blocks" are thankfully NOT the mini blocks that so many kits are using now, so it's not so hard on the fingers during assembly.This "kit" takes a fair amount of time for assembly with it's 950 pieces, and for me it took the better part of several hours a day for a week, and it "fit together" (and stayed together) better than dozens of "kits" that we've built. And it makes a very nice "retro display" of a vintage Steam Engine.I like "Retro", "Trains", "Engines" and everything associated.I would gift this kit to "certain" people, but the lack of a "Retail" (showie) box would potentially be a problem with "gifting" it to "some" people.This is a nice Steam Locomotive w/ fuel & water car, and I would recommend this kit for any RailRoad enthusiast or kit builder.

All the pieces come in plain cardboard box, in plastic bags. There is the instruction sheet though and a few pieces are just floating in the box without any wrapping. This is okay, all the pieces are there and it's relatively easy to put together. Will make a nice little display piece in our train room. Price wise is probably okay. There's almost 1,000 pieces so depending on how much involvement you want, you may want to reconsider. It took a bit of time over a few days to put it together. Would make an okay gift for a train lover though that likes to build things.
