Worth the smell ๐
I haven't used a colour remover in maybe 15 or more years, but after going from blonde to brown, I regretted it massively. My hair dresser refused to bleach it for fear of damage but I couldn't leave it, I really didn't even like looking in the mirror. So I came looking for a colour remover to be a bit more gentle, before doing my own bleach job. All at my own risk then ๐ซฃ I remember how bad these things can smell, rotten eggs. Now I can honestly say, yes it smells and yes it has the eggy smell, but it is not as overwhelming as it was way back then. Just get rid of everything as soon as you're done with it, or it'll stink out the bathroom! Anyway, did it work?! Yes! Obviously I'm not the bright blonde I was, but my hair is now a very light brown and hopefully now, it won't need as much bleach. I'm feeling more like myself again. My hair strangely feels much nicer and even softer than before. I didn't shed any hair from using this product. Once I had air dried it for about 2 hours, I used a low heat on my hairdryer and then straightened it, and my hair feels lovely. After using the "buffer" wash and rinsed etc, I did put some conditioner on and left for 5 or so minutes. Only word of caution, do not panic when you see it fresh out of the shower, wet hair looks very different to dry. Initially, it looked like I had bright orange roots, but I thankfully don't! A really good product, just manage your expectations and remember to go on what is already on your hair, if you have been dying your hair dark for a while, it will not suddenly look really light. I have been bleach blonde for a long time, which is why I was reasonably confident that this would help shift the bulk of the brown. I would recommend this as a good way of starting a lightening process ๐

As you can see I had a red I my hair. Unfortunately I woke up to extremely greasy hair this morning so it doesn't quite do the justice of how red it was. I could've lived with it though, had the dye given full coverage. It ended up an extremely patchy job on top of the fact the colour hadn't quite turned out as expected. I wanted a deeper mahogany and when it's freshly washed it's quite a garish red. So! After reading through a lot of the comments about this colour removal product I decided to go for it so I didn't have to go out with my hair looking like crap. If you're used to dying your hair from a box, then the instructions are extremely easy to follow. It's pretty much the exact same process. I was expecting the product to be stinking. I was expecting the product to attack my chest. I'm an asthmatic smoker and my asthma has been playing up along with my hayfever. The product did smell. But it wasn't stinking. Ammonia based hair dye smells worse. So this stuff was bearable. It also didn't really affect my breathing. I wrapped my head in clingfilm then puta towel on top for good measure and I left the product in for approximately 45mins then began the rinse process. No colour came away during the rinse and I wasn't sure if this was normal or not (I can now only assume it is) and I panicked a little. It wasn't until applying the buffer that my hair felt dry and almost brittle. So after I had rinsed that off, I took the advice of many on here, and applied a little conditioner. Then completed the next rinse process. I didn't put on any conditioner after this step as I bought a conditioning hair mask just for this which has left my hair silky soft (not quite as soft as it usually is after a shower) and smelling strongly of bananas. I knew from other comments that the red wouldn't completely lift and I was likely to be left with a gingery-blonde colour. It's gone more of an ash blonde which I can definitely live with for a few weeks to give my hair a rest before I dye it again. I plan on going back to my natural colour. Or as close as I can get. Im 37 with salt and pepper hair. My hair type is a mixed bag I'm afraid, it's thick, thin and fine as well as curly and frizzy. Genuinely got a full hybrid of both my parents hair. It can vary between dry and greasy. I can sometimes leave it several days before it needs to be washed. Or I sometimes have to wash it daily. Using hair products, blow dryers or straitners doesn't have an affect on how my hair wants to be that day. Overall this product worked incredibly well, lifting all the red tone from my hair. It didn't smell as bad as I expected and it didn't attack my already weak lungs. I would recommend conditioning at least once in between rinses and putting on a conditioning hair mask. 10/10 from me

Very efficient product with no surprises
Easy to use. My starting color was a dyed medium-dark brown with uneven patches from multiple color treatments over the years. It lifted evenly, leaving my hair a beautiful light golden brown with subtle copper tones. The hair are however left quite dry. Following the instructions about thorough washing is essential to effectively clear the lifted deposits of colour. The smell is strong and lingers (hence why not 5 stars) but itโs not as overwhelming as some reviews suggest.

Impressive results, follow instructions closely.
After a disastrous visit to the hairdressers where I asked for a few copper highlights, ended up with bright red colour virtually all over. Tried this product out with amazing results. The bright red colour went, leaving a light coppery colour which I was very pleased with. Didn't smell anywhere near as bad as others have suggested. The conditioner mask I used has improved the general condition of my hair.
