First Strike Ration FSR Case, Fresh Long Term Survival Camping Hiking Food, Genuine USA Military Compact Meals - Inspection 2025 or better

Epidemic Proof delivered this exactly 1 week from my order. This was faster than expected. The case had no shipping damage and the freshness seal was good (TTI indicator). This was a fair current price (05DEC2022) for these rations. First Strike Rations (FSR’s) are not intended to be gourmet meals. These are intended to supply a high caloric and carbohydrate level. There are nine 24 hour FSR’s within each case. They are primarily snack foods. I would encourage people to look at YouTube videos of people reviewing these rations (MRESteve, etc.) if you are not familiar with FSRs. There are no heat sources (Flameless Ration Heaters, etc) as FSR’s are ready to eat as-is to maintain mobility. I would recommend this seller (Epidemic Proof). I literally just purchased another case before writing this short review. 13DEC2022 Update: 2nd box of FSR’s arrived today. Again, excellent shipping protection and speed.

Bought this as my food supply for a week long hike in the mountains. Given the amount of calories per pack (a little under 3000) this is basically a 2 week supply of food for a grown adult. I picked the pack I assumed I would enjoy the least as a baseline for my expectations, Mexican style beef wraps alongside a chicken breast fillet in BBQ sauce as the main entrees. The chicken breast looked, smelled, and tasted like BBQ chicken albeit a little dry in texture; given that this is a shelf stable product that's pretty impressive. The Mexican beef wraps sound like they would be a nightmare but they weren't bad at all, they needed a little hot sauce but guess what, it comes with a tiny bottle of hot sauce. The rest of the pack are snacks, pastries, drink mixes, and condiments that are comparable to your typical convenience store products like Gatorade, Combos, jerky, protein bars, et cetera; all very serviceable. I would definitely buy this again.

Prompt, well packaged FSR. Ok that not many people know about FSRs. More for me to stockpile. These are good menus. Would buy again.

Package arrived in excellent condition. The case of rations was wrapped inside of an Amazon box. These rations are huge, but I have a duffel bag that has two pockets and one of these fits in each of those pockets. Will be trying one hopefully in the next few days.

Arrived fast and in great shape. The FSR case is fresh, packed in 2022. ! At the price point, its a value for those seeking recently packed and fresh FSR ration. Will buy again.

You would do better to purchase a case of original military MREs, with heater packs and food contents, the food is low quality.

Quality and variety was up to par. Heaters worked well and the boxes are sturdy. Stores away well and the meals are filling.
