These are an absolute MUST for fitting fasteners
Don’t hesitate, buy them!! They make fitting fasteners an absolute breeze compared to trying to fit without them and using a hammer. I tried using the hammer approach first and it is easy to misalign and damage the fasteners. This tool avoids all that and I should have bought it with the set of fasteners. You’ll save so much time and hassle using these. Easy to use and great quality - my advice is BUY THEM 👍🙂

Well made Eyelet and Punching tool
These are the best eyelet pliers I've ever used (and I've used a bunch), they are sharp and require very little effort to cut holes in anything I've tried. They require very little effort compared to others, and you don't even need to squeeze hard at all most the time, which saves strain on your hand over long sessions. The interchangeable metal cutters are very sharp and you'll get a replacement cutting head in the same brand eyelets so it should in theory always have a nice sharp cutting surface. The handles are a soft purplish rubberish plastic and are fairly long, allowing you leverage and making them comfortable to use. Like I said, the tools by themselves come with just the punching heads, as the Prym range's eyelets come with their own specially made set of eyelet tools in every pack of eyelets. Which does mean if you are intending to use this tool for other branded eyelets you'll need to buy a Pyrm pack first in the appropriate size to get the pressing heads. The Prym eyelets are great quality and are also probably the best eyelets I've used, though can be a bit more expensive than other eyelets, maybe because of the cutting heads. But. This does mean that you can use a huge range of cutters and pressing heads, rather than be limited to what the tool itself has. This also means that if you break or damage one of the heads, or it becomes blunt (which does happen fairly often with cheaper tools) you can easily replace parts without buying a whole new tool. As for downsides there aren't really anything that sticks out, it's solid in construction and doesn't seem like it will be breaking any time soon, works well and does what it's intended.

Makes installing press studs so much easier, you won't regret buying one of these.
I bought one of these for installing press studs on items of clothing and leather goods that I make and wish I had done so sooner.. I initially bought a small pack of Prym press studs which comes with the correct die and a holder which you have to carefully line up by hand and give it some welly with a hammer to deform the centre core of the rivet to join the two halves together. I found this to very tricky and likely to end up with sore thumbs if not lined up correctly. That method works to a degree but I found the centre core was splitting due to the die moving after the hammer hits it. After some indecision I took the plunge and bought these pliers. The difference is like night and day, Insert the die pieces that come with the studs into the pliers, push one part of the stud through the cloth, leather or what have you, place the second part on top and squeeze together with the pliers, easy as pie and a much better join, then do the same half again for the second part of the stud as each one is made up of 4 parts,. It actually makes installing press studs a doddle, no messing about trying to keep the two halves aligned before hitting with a hammer and hoping it works, takes a matter of seconds, one or two squeezes depending on your hand strength will join the two pieces together. You won't regret buying these pliers if you are planning on putting press studs or other types of fastener on things. However be aware the inserts do not come with these pliers, these are included in packs of Prym fasteners, so make sure you buy at least one pack first to ensure you have the correct part for your intended use. I would highly recommend these pliers.

Easy to use
These are very sturdy and work really well. However the spare plugs are really hard to get into the pliers when you want to replace them. They don’t fit in the holes. Need a hammer. Need to use 2 pairs if u use them a lot as the plastic fittings wear away and loosen very quickly. And the metal fittings fall out when you try and cut holes or secure the eyelet.

It works
Don't believe a lot of the bad reviews, I think it's because they don't read what the description says re. attachments. The attachments that fit the snaps comes with the snaps (official prym ones) and NOT with these pliers. They just come with the hole punch that you need when fitting snaps. These are sturdy, punch neat holes and makes the application much easier than with the rubbish plastic one and hammer! I've successfully managed to replace the broken snaps and will be using on many sewing projects. I have carpal tunnel syndrome so my hands arent very strong but the pliers are easy to use without pain. These pliers are destined to be used for a long time to come

A huge amount of tools in one place
I bought this because I PAT test electrical items while out on a van. The major cause of failure is the plug not being wired properly. I can use this one tool to unscrew, cut wires, trim plastic insulation and prise out fuses. It is not that easy to use as much is packed into a small space but it gets the job done.

Pliers are great, but the plastic thing is useless.....
.....as with other reviews, the plastic thing broke the first time I tried to use it! The instructions are not clear, so maybe it was me, but it really doesn't seem to be up to the job. Prym need to sort this out!

The materials are solid, meaning that I’m happy or didn’t bend under my grip. I used this to fix my wedge pillow whose zippers have broken.
