I have a 28 inch waist and the small was perfect.

Q: I’m 179.1 pounds ( around 81.6 kg) so what size should I get

You should get ethier your shirt size or one size down from your shirt size I normally wear a 1xl and I got a xl and it fits perfectly.

Q: My waist is 24in. exactly I'm scared the corset wouldn't be able to fit my body, Would a small be able to fit snug and tight on my body?

I would suggest ordering a size down from your actual size. I'm usually a 3x, so I would order a 2x but a 1x would fit perfectly fine too.

Q: This size chart doesn't make any sense. Are the measurements for the waist--not chest/bust??

I did measurements for the waist and the elastic is pretty stretchy, my sister who is a size bigger than fits fine in it
