It is reusable you can wash the cover in the washing machine. My cat loves sleeping on it especially in the winter because it keeps him warm.

Hi, I want this to go in my little dogs bed to give him extra warmth during the night, would this be suitable?

No wouldn’t bother. I bought two for my little dogs. Waste of money. They’re very small and quite flimsy. They slide around the bed and they have some sort of strange lining on the underside of the blanket that makes a very loud crackling noise when ever the dog moves.
