The cut off valve is not working and the water overflows into the pan. Is this a fault? And if so can it be fixed without uninstalling it?

The flush plate can be changed on this but it has to be a Grohe flush plate as it is not universal

If the void where I want to install this is more than 230mm can I not use it? I have a soil pipe which is 250mm out from the wall it sits alongside.

You can install wall hunt toilet you just have to Build the fixings on the wall out by putting a piece of timber there and then you need a Bendy sort pipe that should work
