Review: Impressive beginner guitar - I have played guitar for the majority of my life, and had always wanted a steel-string acoustic. Prior to this I had only played nylon string (classical) acoustics, and electric guitars. Anyone who knows guitars will naturally be cautious of something under £100, and I was, but I took a punt based upon video reviews, and good resale values on auction sites. First impressions were good - the finish is obviously not conventional but it works, and looks great. Sure, anyone can stain and varnish wood to make it look good, but I was pleased with the quality of the finish. The inlay is not all that striking but it works. Looking closely, the build quality is impressive and crisp - I have a much more expensive Epiphone electric with many more visual niggles. It must be said that the nut area is not perfect, but I have seen this on many inexpensive guitars. The machine heads are unremarkable, they seem solid and hold tune well - not forever, but who doesn't tune up anyway? The neck, bridge and fretboard are solid, not much to say but certainly no complaints. When properly set up (make sure you have this done professionally if you are inexperienced) there is no buzzing, and playability right up to the final fret. As for the sound - this is difficult to review because it often comes down to what people like to hear, as well as other factors such as the strings you are using. Nonetheless I am very impressed. The sustain is excellent, the resonance is lovely and rich from the low strings, and there is certainly no shortage of volume. I have found an open D tuning works very well on this guitar. I have given it five stars because I can't stop playing it, simply put. A great buy new, used, for beginners or experts.
Review: Perfect for the price. - I recently decided to get back into playing the guitar, after a five-year break. The guitar itself is really good quality, although for £100 you will find that it isn't made out of the best quality wood, but you really can't tell without looking into it too much. The sound and the action are utterly breathtaking considering the price, it came perfectly aligned which results in a deep rich tone. It feels quite a lot sharper than some of the guitars I've played on in the past. Now the fretboard is fantastic for a learner in my opinion, with a really low bridge it becomes so easy to bust out the chords. Overall? I think I'll be buying another in the near future! Maybe one of their more expensive ones. I think that those who have played guitar for a while and want to venture into acoustic will also appreciate the quality of this guitars sound, and playability.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the saddle glued into the bridge slot, or is it free standing?**
A: I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be glued, although I'm not 100% as I bought it for my missus and we haven't changed the strings yet. The saddle does seem plastic but to be totally honest this is a great guitar and miles better than my epiphone ej200, I will be getting 1 of these for myself. For the money I doubt you'll find a better guitar....yeh you might want to change the saddle, nut, and bridge pins but for that extra £25 it's still worth every penny. I don't say this about any other acoustic guitar. It also came with the string action set up.

**Q: what size is this guitar thanks i am looking for a 3/4 size**
A: Hi The TWCRO guitar is full size Tanglewood do a 3/4 size which is the TWCRThttps://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M6YFMX5/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_myi?m=A3F6HDE2WIN98Tbest wishes Ian @pockmusic

**Q: does the guitar come with a bag or no?**
A: No case comes boxed. Good guitar for the money.

**Q: Can this guitar be strung left handed?**
A: Hi Steven, I have just taken a look at the machine heads, the nut and the bridge. The machine heads would not be a problem but the bridge has small grooves in in it for the B and E (top) strings but I understand that the bridge is not fixed so can be reversed. Also the grooves in nut are graded to suit a standard EADGBE setup. But that might not be a problem?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Massive amount of guitar for your money.
*by S***X on 7 April 2020*

This guitar has quite literally blown me away. Solid mahogany acoustic guitar for under £100 is quite a rare thing to start with. But then you look at the build quality and attention to detail, and it just keeps getting more incredible. The guitar came set up perfectly - no adjustments needed straight out of the box besides a quick tune up. The sound and playability are just incredible. This is easily the best acoustic guitar I've ever owned or even played for that matter. Tanglewood have somehow made a guitar that could easily have a four figure price tag, and inexplicably put a sub £100 price tag on it. My advice - buy one now before their pricing department realise they've made a mistake.
