The Smell of the Alcohol Wipes Here’s where my personal gripe comes in: the smell from the alcohol wipes included with the paste is very strong. I’m not sure if the potency is necessary to clean off old thermal paste effectively, but it’s something to be aware of. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not immediately disposing of the used wipes after use. The lingering smell in my room was overwhelming and awful—definitely a lesson learned! Amazing quality and performance was easy to apply, i used the X and Dot technique. Preformance improved i am sure due to heat dissipation. Old paste had become dry and tempratues started rising, the Artic MX-6 proved to be a very good quality of paste. 100 % value from money the wipes were excelent tool in the pack.
