We were in Minnesota over New Years a few years back visiting the grandkids. I usually run Power Service winter blend (white jug) in the winter anyway in my 2012 F350 with 6.7. But when we left for home that morning, temperature was -15 F. The truck sits out at home in SW Missouri but it never gets this cold.Luckily there wasn't much traffic at 8 AM on New Years Day. We hadn't gone but 3-4 miles when I noticed the truck was a bit sluggish. I figured it needed to warm up more but the more I drove, the worse it ran. Soon I had the throttle floored yet was barely able to keep the truck at 35mph. I had planned on getting fuel down the road a ways where it was less expensive ( I had a little over 1/2 tank) but took an exit and went to a station off the ramp that sold diesel.I went inside and saw this bottle of 9-1-1 on the shelf and decided to give it a try. I don't recall how much of it I poured in the tank (36 gallon) but did fill the tank with diesel as well. I started the truck up and pulled to a parking space on the lot to let it run for a bit. After about 5 minutes, I pulled out of the lot but decided to just drive slowly around a few blocks from the store I just left in case there was still a problem. The more I drove, the better the truck ran. After a bit, I felt confident it was going to work so we pulled back onto the Interstate to continue home. There was no more incidents the entire way home.Although I haven't experienced this cold of temperatures since then, I still keep a bottle of 9-1-1 in the truck with me whenever there is the risk of single digit temperatures or below.
