This but was one of my best buys and wished I'd done it years ago rather than struggle with peeling the little blighters. Took a few attempts to get used to the peeler before I got it right but there no stopping me now. Yeh it's one more thing to wash n clean but it's easy done and I feel like there less waste. Yes the actual crusher is smart and will leave the peel in its holder but I feel there is less waste and you get more garlic out if you peel it first. The item is very strong and not as much effort required to crush the clove as in other crushers so well done for whatever you done on that side. Easy to clean and it all comes apart easy enough to do that. Arrived on time and in a lovely presentation box and great customer service with emails providing contact details should there be any issues. More than pleased with this purchase. Would recommend

Garlic peeler itself is a revelation. No garlic smell under the finger nails for days on end for me now. The crusher is a fair bit better than others I have used. It is bigger and beefier, more heavy duty and so crushes big cloves with ease. The swing out crusher element makes it easier to clean. The handles have the eyelet attached so these can be hung on the kitchen tool rack and hook set rather than letting it rattle around in the "useful things" drawer. Recommended. Update - Having now had a chance to use the silicone peeler gadget I find that it doesn't really work too well. It can loosen the garlic clove skin but is a bit gimmicky. It will inevitably get mislaid at some point and I probably won't spend very long looking for it :)

This product feels good and sturdy. The garlic chamber could use being larger - thought you'd be able to get more than one clove in there. Does mince ginger as well, but beware, you will get a fair amount of pulp left in the press (which you can easily flick out into your dish) and the ginger will end up getting juiced a bit. This is actually really useful when the ginger is for a marinade

This garlic press arrived beautifully packaged and did not disappoint. The peeler tube is a simple design and works really well, saving loads of time previously spent peeling cloves with a small knife. The press itself is the best I have ever purchased. I have owned many garlic crushers over the years, and they all had one thing in common. When crushing large amounts of garlic, the pulp wouldn't all go through the holes in the press. A fair bit would escape up the sides of the press and would make a bit of a mess. Also if you didn't want to lose half the crushed garlic, you would have to spend time removing garlic from the outside of the press, and pushing it back into the receptacle with a knife to be pushed through the holes. With this garlic press the press itself is a perfect fit and all of the pulp is pushed through the holes with one push, negating the need to be fiddling with a small knife to push half crushed garlic back into the press receptacle. Great design and a real time saver for a cook who uses a great deal of garlic in his cooking. Highly recommended.

Got this as a present for my daughter as she's a real foodie. She loves it, it's a good sturdy press that with the tinest squeeze mashes the garlic to a pulp. the roller works like magic to peel the skin which is something I've never seen before, so that's a bonus too, large enough to take a whole clove. This product comes well presented, making it ideal as a gift for a foodie in your life, or for yourself. Well worth the money, you get what you pay for. love it

Had high expectations after reading about it, but as mentioned in many other reviews the garlic 'basin' is a bad design. With the way the metal folds together in the corners but is not welded or sealed together, you have to spend a few minutes after every use picking out all the skin from between the gaps. Really takes away from the convenience this press is meant to give, and have found myself going back to just dicing garlic with a knife. Shame, as the pressed garlic that does come through is great, and very nice to cook with. But, for me, cleaning the press makes it not worth it.

Bought this after an expensive crusher collapsed after less than a year. The unit is very well built, requires very little pressure to crush the cloves and produces very fine results. The peeler works very well and keeps hands clear of the smell of garlic. Would recommend, particularly at the price. The follow up from Alpha Grillers has been excellent.

The garlic press works very well and the garlic roller is fantastic for getting the garlic skin off.

It is so easy to mince the garlic! I had another from another brand, that one was so tough and required a lot of arm muscles, this however, is effortless!

I like it. It looks very sturdy & easy to use.

Very well made, robust, and easy to use. Works very well. However because of the way it works it seems on first use and after dishwasher it is hard to clean the actual strainer mesh.
