Best GU flavour. Team this and a soft flask.
I use this for marathon running combined with a GU soft flask that fits 5 servings of the regular GU sachet sizes. This is the most eco friendly way to GU as you can then fill up the flask with what you want so no waste and no plastic wraps strewn on a race course. Salted caramel is the best flavour for me, as gives you exactly what you want and actually tastes nice when a bit warm (if it’s sitting next to your skin for a few hours this is essential!)

Hard to take
I generally love Gu products - but there are so many issues with this one where to begin.Firstly - this is supposed to be an energy gel to take on the go in a refillable flask. But the liquid is way too viscous and you have to apply mega pressure to the flask whilst you bite the valve and wait May be 10 seconds (whilst running or cycling and breathing through your teeth) to get half a teaspoon out. It’s impossible to gauge how much you’re taking on board as it disrupts your rhythm so much just to get a tiny bit.As well as being waaay too thick - the flavour is also meh. It just tastes like sugar syrup with some salt in it. I was expecting the same velvety salted caramel consistency of the Gu puddings and dare I say a Clif energy gel which is much smoother, tastier and easier to eat.Thirdly - and this may just be my issue - this gel gave me stomach cramps like no other gel I have had prior.I really want to be more eco friendly with my gels but if this is all we get then I’m afraid it’s a pass. The gel needs to be about half the thickness to be easily administered and have a better flavour to make we want to eat it.

Tastes fine but too much faff
Trying to measure out portions of gooey energy gel into another container is just too much trouble. Tastes ‘fine’ but way too much hassle vs buying individual sachets

Nice Try
I bought this as the only product I could find on Amazon that came in bulk. And for this it got a second star. However, the Caramel flavor which I ordered tasted like chemicals. At first I thought I hadn't rinsed out my flask I mixed it in and so I tried again and rinsed a 2nd flask out and added some Gu and Water, shook well and Yuck!. I'm sure their other flavors are much better (i've since had a single serving chocolate and it was delicious) but the Caramel needs to be ditched. The other problem is that it's too thick. I talked over gel options with my cyclist friends on a ride and I got unanimous feedback that Gu was too thick. I agree. Mixed with water in a flask makes it workable but still not that good. Finally, the packaging along with the thickness make it hard to get those last 2-3 servings out. And to be honest 15 servings isn't enough to call it bulk. My usual brand comes in a much larger size of bulk. I bought because my usual brand that starts with an H doesn't sell on Amazon so I thought this was worth trying. I will go back to the unfortunate process of ordering and paying for shipping with my previous brand. Why doesn't every manufacturor of gels package in bulk? Personally opening individual packets on the bike vs premixing 2-3 in a flask and adding water make consuming on the bike or the run way way easier. Also, I can do half a gel twice as often. Oh, and have we heard of the environment?

Cheaspest way to go
I like the price. I bought the refillable container for it. The one flavor tends to get tiresome so I bought 2 additional flavors to mix and match occasionally.

Read what you're buying...this is a bulk container.
Good deal if you use lots of gu. This is my favourite flavour, so getting 15 servings isn't an issue. This is for people who are filling and refilling flasks, and will save money and waste. It is thick but I water it down slightly. I also add amino acids and use the gu to mask their awful taste. This technique also helped me increase my caloric intake because gulps of full-thickness gu seemed to sit like a gut bomb. Making gu less thick helps fuel my energy without cramps et al. Once open it lasts months if kept in a cool place, such as my pantry. I purposefully let one sit nearly empty to see if it would go off, but it did not. (which is great and disturbing all at the same time)Disregard the low ratings from people who can't read. It isn't the product or the supplier to blame because they expected something they didn't order.

Economical, Easy to use and Environmentally Friendlier
Happy with this product. I pair this with my GU HydraPaks and I am good to go on any distance from 30 to a 100+ mile ride. Plus, a little easier to deal with than the single-serving GUs while also being more environmentally friendly. And I would worry about the expiration date (to a reasonable extent) as my experience is that keeping it at room temperature (76-78 degrees) retards any fermentation; but if worried, just keep in the fridge which would further retard any fermentation (yes, alcohol production) from occurring.

Be sure to the right size
Nothing wrong with product. I accidentally ordered the wrong one. I meant to order individual packs. I didn’t like measuring and guessing the right amount to take before a run and couldn’t take the whole big pack on a half marathon. I used it and ordered the right one the next time. I prefer Strawberry Banana flavor.
