Easy to read cozy mystery...
Cozy mystery set in Cornwall at Lower Tinworthy with Nurse Kate Palmer and her new husband, retired Policeman Woody Forrest.Kate has a habit of getting drawn into mysterious murders in her area, and when an old 'adversary' of Woody's, is found dead in their garden, Woody immediately becomes the main suspect. Kate naturally doesn't believe this, so has to solve the case before he's arrested. When her Sister and a friend are wooed by a newcomer to the area, Kate smells a con, and so she's determined to investigate that too.I really like this cozy mystery series, easy to read and no cliffhangers. Whilst each book is a standalone mystery, the books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.

Another enjoyable read π
This is book #6 and currently the last in the enjoyable Nurse Kate Palmer mysteries. It's another excellent tale with the usual plethora or suspects. An infamous London criminal family has decided on temporary residence in Cornwall. This first body is found in Kate's garden at Lavender Cottage.....If you liked the previous books in the series, you'll enjoy this one too πππ

Cozy story - daft ending
I have read all seven books and found them quite entertaining, but it must bee said: for Kate, part-time nurse, being a super 'sleuth' she seems pretty disconnected towards the end of each book. As you are getting towards 80% of the book you know what is about to happen and an appearantly shrewd Kate enters willingly into a most stupendous situation only to have a very narrow escape.

Another Entertaining story
Another good story by Dee MacDonald that was a really entertaining read. With lots of the usual characters from early stories mixed with a number of potential villains it kept you gripped from start to finish. Looking forward to reading more.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!
Dee is completely back on track with this one! I did not guess the complete ending at all! So much fun to be holding your breath and reading as fast as you can to find out WHO DONE IT! This was my favorite of all the Kate Palmer Mysteries!

Not so gripping
I have to admit, Kate is beginning to get on my nerves. In my opinion, she is way too full of herself. This novel (again, only my personal opinion) lacks a certain logic and once again, Kate is alternately told to 'leave things to the professionals' while in the next sentence she is being egged on... The Ms. Marple she is repeatedly compared with in fact never 'interfered'. A more unlikely comparison is hard to imagine.I also do wish that Ms. MacDonald would refrain from spelling 'The List' with a capital T and L.Not sure I will continue with the series.

Great English cozy mystery
Pour yourself a cup of tea as you head to Lower Tinworthy where Cornwall's Miss Marple is sleuthing once again. In this 6th book in the Kate Palmer Mystery series things are up close and personal for Kate. Her new husband and retired detective inspector Woody is a suspect in the body found in the garden at Lavender Cottage.Woody knows the victim from his detective past.Lots of cups of tea, several gin and tonics, and the daily dog walks along the cliffs of Cornwall are in between looking for the murderer and Kates suspect list is long! After I've finished every book in there series I say "Wow, that was the best one" and it is no different now.as I think this one is the best yet! The mystery is solid any keeps you guessing! Many thanks for the opportunity to read and review this book to NetGalley, Book out it's and the author.

A Guessing Game.
Keeps you guessing right up to the very end. Just when you think you have the answer to this mystery, it takes a new turn. Read all 6 books, looking for 7. This is a winner, well worth purchasing.
