Not as described
I seem to be the only one that either received something that did not look as described, or else the only one bothered? The products packaging very obviously showed that it was not from the science museum, but by someone completely different. However, this may just be a one-time mistake, perhaps they ran out of the original one, but they could have still contacted me.Apart from the packaging, the toy seems to be quite good so far (i bought it as a present and so far have heard no complaints). I would recommend this, if you are not bothered about it being aesthetically pleasing.

Loved it
Brought as a stocking filler for a six year old for xmas and it was well worth the money. Although he was too young to safely carry out the experiment and handed over to his Dad he was very excited and wanted to get outside and do it straight away but we didnt have the baking soda required. Tried a make do version of cream of tar tar with bicarbonate soda but didnt work. So if you are buying this make sure you have the vinegar and baking soda ready in your cupboard. Very simple to assemble rocket but even with the baking soda first 2 attempts failed to lift off. Does state that take off is affected by cold weather and warm weather are the ideal conditions, but on third attempt rocket went up great to much cheers after about a 15 seconds wait. Also, most importantly, it landed on soft ground intact so were able to do again although it did land 10 ft away so beaware of your boundaries. Very pleased, good value and would not hesitate to replace if it was lost or damaged.

we had great fun messing around with it anyway
Bought as a gift for my cousin. Doesn't work particularly well as often it wont launch, however, we had great fun messing around with it anyway. Worth it for what it is just don't expect to many uses out of it.

Tiny!
This rocket is tiny. Much smaller than I thought! It was quite tricky to get the mixture just right and shake carefully before the launch. On the fifth attempt we managed to blast it into the air about 15ft. He instructions do say that it may take a few goes.

To Infinity and beyond......................
I purchased this as presents for two 9 year old boys, who along with Dads, Uncles and Cousins set off the rockets on a nearby beach. A bit of footering with the fuel i.e. Sarsons vinegar and bicarbonate of soda but then we had lift off.A great present for 9 to 90 year olds !!

Poor design, needs a decent gasket.
Doesn't last very long. The seal is very poor and after a few uses is either too loose or too tight, so the vinegar/soda/CO2 mix either leaks (doesn't launch) or isn't able to build enough pressure to launch (and then you have to unseal it yourself and get the stuff all over you). It is ridiculous for this price that there aren't rubber rings that would help seal and could be replaced as they get worn. Very disappointing.

Ceci était un cadeau de Noël ou d'anniversaire. Il a parfaitement convenu à la personne à qui je l'ai offert.
