Our Dog recently turned 7 and one of his legs has a tendency to seem stiff when he gets up sometimes, particularly after exercise, so we switched from his previous Barking Heads kibble to this one and he seems to love it even more and I think the Glucosamine is helping his joints, as his leg seems a lot more mobile now. Like the whole range, we like the fact that it's natural and not full of rubbish like some of the better known brands. There's a good range to suit a variety of dietary requirements and ages and our Dog's skin, coat and digestion has been so much better since we put him on Barking Heads about 5 years ago, compared to how he was on his previous food, when he used to get dry skin patches and fairly regular stomach upsets. Would definitely recommend the range to anyone struggling to find the right food to suit their Dog

My great 11 year old lab x loves it . She would eat anything being honest. She is approaching 12 and I wanted to give her the best senior food I could within my budget. Barking heads suits her... we weaned her on gently from her previous food... another senior premium food (which despite exercise made her balloon) I'm so happy, I think the kibble size is nice for a medium to large dog. For an ideal weight of 20-22 kg I only need to feed 210g to 310 (activity level depending). Indie is spayed (neutered) and her cost is fab as a result of this good diet.

I want the best for my dog and research on the net showed this dry dog food is highly recommended for it's nutrients. I've tried other brands but he doesn't like them much. When I opened the packet he turned his nose up so I started to mix it in with his current food and low and behold he's eating it and clearing his bowl. I haven't tried it neat yet as I'm still finishing off his old food but so far it's a success.

six 2kg bags rather than one 12kg bag - but I guess that helps keep it fresh for longer, although more packaging

My two elderly Cairns (12+), have been on this for 9 months & they love it, have become more active, with better coats & less digestive issues. Daily portion, determined by pet weight, is shown on the bag. Advice is to feed half portion twice a day. Excellent product. My local pet shop, recommended this but has since ceased to stock it, due he says, to ordering & price issues with the manufacturers. It is dearer than most of the other premium dry dog foods. Several online outlets sell the 12kg bag for around £46. As I use Amazon frequently, they got the business. Usual free delivery to the door in 4 days. Job done. Be aware, a 12kg bag is awkward to handle & store. I decant the contents into 5 smaller bags for convenience.

I changed my dog's diet to Barking Heads Golden Years as she is 15 years old and her digestion wasn't so good. On the advice of someone a while ago I changed products and found Barking Heads to be an excellent alternative. I would definitely recommend it for older dogs.

I have always fed premium quality food to my dogs but with their advancing years (the oldest is now 15) I was spending increasing amounts on supplements Ie glucosamine, salmon oil etc., but I found these additives already present in Barkings heads so I now no longer have to purchase these additives, costing up to an extra £20 per month. Barking heads is a very high quality premium dog food, my dogs love it and all 3 are doing very well on it, it is very concentrated so take care not to over feed !

I was recommended this brand and have not been disappointed: the Lamb varieties seem to go down especially well but this is a real winner with my old girl, a rescue of indeterminate age and my other choccie lab who is now 10. Seems to have a good effect on their mobility and they devour it with gusto (yes I know they're Labradors and would probably devour me with gusto if I stopped in one place long enough but you know what I mean lol) It IS a mite expensive but the Subscribe and Save option rescues it for me. Buy it with confidence.

Hola! Mi perra, una mestiza de pitbull de unos 9 años más o menos, que come todo, y cuando digo todo, es todo! Hasta lo q no debería! Pues ha resultado que no le gusta, le echo aceite o intento complementarle un poco el sabor, y nada, tengo q cogerle otra comida .. lo peor es q había comprado 2 sacos! 😅 Tenía muy buena pinta, y lo había comprado con todas mis espectativas, espero ser la excepción. Notre chien est assez difficile niveau croquettes mais il aime bien ce produit. Les croquettes sont d'une bonne taille pour un chien de 16 kilos.
