They're beautiful and have a nice fresh grassy smell.

Great size and quality—haven’t used these for long but appreciate the pale, not-too-greenish color (unlike another organic fiber placemat set I ordered from Amazon) and nice craftsmanship. My set had some variations in color from mat to mat, but nothing egregious. No weird odors to my super sensitive nose—just a very faint grassy scent if you really put your nose up to it and smell (like scent of a natural-fiber sunhat).The napkin rings seem a little more fragile by nature and slightly vary in size (see photo), in a way consistent with handmade—don’t mind it at all but FYI they do look a little different (thinner) than in the product photo.They arrived packed tightly into a thin plastic bag—just a bit too small so the package had a slight curve to it—but mats flattened out quickly left on a flat surface.

Love this set! I swapped the napkin rings out when I got these daschund napkin rings in from an Etsy order though!

This item was not what I expected. The napkin rings we like paper and the placemats were extremely thin. This was a big disappointment. If you are planning for a one time use then you should be ok.
