Ordered an extra set. These are better to set tension than other products.READ the instructions. I am very pleased to have accidentally ordered an extra set.Very easy to install. Use a powered drill or screwdriver. I used long cabinet screws with screws that came with hinges.Nothing but satisfactory results. Measure your hinges first. Thick and great value. Closure tension easy to setGood, strong, solid product.

Needed something that would shut porch door after dogs went out side. this hinge worked perfect. we got the three pack but only needed to use one.. we replaced the middle hinge with one of these .

When I say "easy to install" I mean the instructions are easy and general installation was easy. It takes some might to crank these things to work well and fully close the door. That's by design... and that's physics. These are well made, high quality materials, the proper hardware is included, and the instructions are clear and concise. Tip: use both the Allan key and little wand to open further as it gets harder. Leveraging the two put pressure on both and lessens the risk of damaging the door/frame. These are fairly priced at $11/each.We put them on garage man doors (to the outside and to the house), and closet doors. Be sure an check the number of holes your hinges take. Heavy and external doors are usually 4 screws per side, interior doors are usually 3 (even solid core)... but check. You can always use the rounded corners hinges, but square corners can only be used to replace square cornered hinges. Extra pins included. Save those. I'd also save the screws as they're nice quality... use them if your original screws are lousy. Toothpicks are the trick if you need more traction in older screw holes (do NOT use glue).

The product was exactly as depicted and described, and I could not be more pleased.Washington County, OR, building code requires any door that opens into a garage be: a) metal, b) fire-rated and c) self-closing (i.e., spring-loaded). I installed the two hinges without help* in about 20 minutes, and the only reason this took so long is these hinges are made of a thicker metal, requiring some chisel work on the top hinge.*I am pretty strong, so would recommend two people.I highly recommend this robust, effective, attractive and easy to install.

Works perfect on a heavy exterior garage entry door. Shuts like a dream now. No more saying kids shut the door!!

The hinges work great.

They do the job of closing my garage door after me, tension adjustment is easy.I discovered a trick to help install these if the previous hinges were longer than these: One side of each hinge has metal that extends out to the tensioner. You can lay these against the edge of the door / door frame to mark the holes, then flip to mark the other side. It took the guesswork out of the installation for me

I used one hinge on my toilet door to keep it 90% closed as I personally don't like looking into a toilet area and my daughters constantly leave the door open after using it

If u replacing an indoor hinges, this isn't an easy job its alot thicker than the regular hing...
