Matrix | Brass Off | Blue Toning Shampoo to Correct Orange Undertones on Lightened Hair, Total Results

Fantastic product! I have brunette hair with very stubborn red tones whenever I try to have my hair highlighted, so no matter how much bleach/toner they use, after a while my highlights always end up looking brassy. Just tried this shampoo and it is absolutely amazing! I look like I’m fresh from the hairdressers again! I totally forgot to take any before pics, but I would 100% recommend this product. The only thing I would say is to immediately wash/scrub your hands afterwards or wear gloves, as I really worked this into my hair so it was on my hands for a few mins and it did leave a slight blue tinge. Other than that, it’s amazing.

Omg, this is AMAZING! I'm a natural red head (muddy red), so over the years have added red and blonde to my hair to 'lift' it. I decided to embrace my natural colour, but used some semipermanent blonde colours to help the transition. I then decided to just try tinted red shampoo ( great result), then bought a tinted conditioner too. BIG mistake. It's like permanent dye and I looked like Ronald McDonald's sister!! I found this and after just one wash (shampoo only, my own normal conditioner), all the awful red has gone!!! I'm absolutely thrilled. I wish I'd taken photos. ( No point doing an after photo without a before). Absolutely wonderful 😀

Not sure why the mediocre reviews- clearly expecting more than they’ve pay for. The shampoo works very very well for a SHAMPOO. It is not bleach or a colour stripper- however it is the most effective and gentle route to correct colour I’ve found. My hair has been coloured black for years, after bleaching and going red I was left with so many brassy tones as it grew out. For best results I’ve found brushing your hair before showering, wetting hair as your brush and then brushing the shampoo in, leaving for as long as you can and then washing out works best. The after photo is three washes over a week which I’m over joyed about as nothing else I’ve done has touched the brassy colour. Couldn’t recommend more. FYI it is very pigmented to ensure to wash hands and use a dark towel :)

My hair was platinum bloned with lots of grey comming through i was fed up with the up keep so i dyed it dark bloned and put a few highlights thought, my hair turned a very orange ginger , i knew i would have to tone it down too but i seen this and thought I would give this ago , I left it on for around 5 minutes then put wella pearl bloned mask on . Am happy with the result ive got now , its a must buy and keep , before and after photo

Not a strong enough product followed instructions and my hair was the same colour brassy orange do not recommend at all waste of money

Not impressed, doesn't seem to make such a difference that it states it does. I'll try one more time hopefully for the price it's not a write off.

This product is absolutely amazing! Originally though when I ordered it from Amazon they did give me the wrong item so I got it refunded and brought it again from boots. I was skeptical as it had some mixed reviews but by far the most reviews over the John freida one. This product really is it. I have had a balyage for the first time and did not even know what brassyness was until a friend had told me. My hair was so brassy and one wash with this completely transformed my hair!! It pairs so well w the conditioner and do not dry hair out at all which I know is a real con for the John frieda one. I will buy the 1 litre bottle going forward!! Please note my curls look different in the pics only because the brassy picture I wore curl cream and the other picture I did not. The shampoo does not affect anything to do with the hair apart from the brassyness. This review also applies to the conditioner
