WHAT DO YOU THINK?: HOW TO AGREE TO DISAGREE AND STILL BE FRIENDS
M**.
Every child (and adult) should read this book.
I do not often review but...I was curious about what this book would actually be about and read it before giving it to my children (aged 10 and 12). I could not put it down and kept finding myself agreeing with it out loud. It puts into words through fun, accessible anecdotes and chatty discussion some absolutely fundamental lessons for children - and in fact most adults as well. If every child at school was asked to read this book then home, school and work would be more interesting and peaceful places to be! So relevant in this tricky age of cancellation. I am giving it to all the kids I know for Christmas.

Disappointing
Somewhat "square dad" type of humour, and some (deliberate?) grammar mistakes to try and seem cool with the kids. The sections about disagreeing with others without falling out are good. However he himself has obviously not done his homework about certain controversial issues, but has written them off without investigation. To discover the truth about something that should include listening to arguments that you expect to disagree with. Has the author even been taking his own advice?

What every child should have
Present for grandchildrenThis book brilliantly (and with oodles of humour) offers kids various tools to help them formulate ideas of their own and shows them the best way to express them and engage with others in a polite, non-judgmental, fruitful and rational way -

Another great book for children from Matthew Syed and Kathy Weeks
I bought this book as a gift for my nephew and he loves it. Written in a way that is easy to comprehend with fun illustrations, I would really recommend this book which will help children to become independent thinkers so they are not afraid to speak up and engage in productive discussions without turning them into arguments!

A really important book
I had a read before giving this to my niece and honestly I learnt a lot myself. It is so well put together, thoughtful, practical and funny. My niece was a huge fan of You Are Awesome and i know that she will love this and will get a lot out lf it. I reckon this is a must for every kid.
