How many albums do we see that has the bold 'THE BEST' included on the sleeve ?Truth is, with so many headline acts not included, along with so many out-and-out smash-hits missing, can't be the BEST ?However, with albums/compilations such as this it's surely all about the fond memories of those times that linger for many ofus, for me, if the album has many numbers on-board that are indeed well remembered in unfamiliar play-order it certainly hasto be considered, frankly, though probably a re-release at around a fiver for 100 tracks it really doesn't take much thinking about.There are of course many instantly recognisable top-line acts included such as -T.Rex - Sweet - The Jacksons - The Three Degrees- Bay City Rollers -Showaddywaddy -Gladys Knight - Meat Loaf and Dolly Parton to name just a few.Some of the numbers that drew me in were - Clout - Substitute / David Essex - Hold Me Close / Santana - She's Not There / andFox - S-S-S Single Bed ..these among many.Certainly worthy of checking out for those many memories you may have.......

this is one of those cd's that you have got to have if you like the 70's, 5 cd's to keep you happy, you can listen, tap your feet , sing along or Dance from one classic tune after another, from, Metal Guru-T.Rex/ Yellow River - Christie /Blame it on the Boogie - The Jacksons/ Lido Shuffle - Boz Scaggs/ Love really hurts without you - Billy Ocean/ Ms Grace - The Tymes to Black Betty - Ram Jam/the Devil went down to Georgia- the Charlie Daniels Band / I'm on Fire - 5000 Volts and many more, 100 tracks in all, for the money , it does not get much better.

Great set of CDs but slip case to tight for CDs I noticed they were getting scratches when trying to remove them . So I now put all the CDs in plastic inserts to protect them when they come in this type case.But still good will buy others.

A very good compilation. Lots of well known songs with about a cd worth of filler. I don't mind this as most is by well known artists but not the hits of them you remember and besides 4 cds of well known 70s hits for what was just 5 notes is well worth anyones money

If, like me, you remember that Glam Rock, Punk and Abba were a big chunk of music in the 1970's, you may be somewhat disappointed with this collection. As there is not one track that represents these genre's!It's a fair amount of music from the decade, but nothing outstanding, or that isn't on other compilations.

Superb value at the price I paid and a real trip down memory lane.Do however feel in terms of genres of music included it is more than a little selective.Suggest reading track listing prior to purchase.

This 2017 Demon/Sony Music European 5-disc box is not the strongest of the many 70s’ box sets that are listed on Amazon (so 4 1/2 stars), but it is non-the-less filled w/a lot of good Brit-leaning music (especially the rock tracks). Disc 1, 68 minutes, is Brit-rock & glam; D2, 70 min., R&B & Disco; D#, 63 min., soft rock & R&B; D4, 66 min., R&B & Disco; D5, 70 min., is a mix of genres (w/6 tracks that are on other box sets). I am amazed at how good the R&B & disco stuff is now – back in the 70s I hated it (but then again, I like a ton more stuff now in my late 60s). All tracks are original charting singles (but not all in the U.S.). Quality of sound is great (re-mastered??), & playback levels are quite even. There are a few minor song title glitches w/Windows Media Player. Song title/artist/composer/label/date are listed on each inside flap of the 5-fold cardboard case – title & artist listed on back cover also. Each disc slides into separate open-at-each-end slots & are very hard to slide out – I used a large eraser on the end of a pencil.

Excellent coffret à un très bon prix, vous y entendrez 100 super chansons connues et moins connues.Mais comme il n’y a rien de parfait, Demon Music Group Ltd. ne fait pas exception à la règle. Car comme toutes les grandes maisons de production et de reproduction, il y a toujours plusieurs chansons qui reviennent et que l’on retrouve sur des albums ou coffrets différents.Car ce coffret de 5 CD contient 100 chansons, mais seulement 16 ne se retrouvent pas sur les autres coffrets de la série 100 Hits 70s et autres versions de la même série; Des compilations sortie de 2007 à 2014 par Demon Music Group Ltd.Je ne dis pas cela pour vous faire peu, car si l’on oubli ce détail qui est quand même très important, ce coffret est EXCELLENT. Car dans les 16 chansons que je n’avais pas sur les autres coffrets, 3 d’entre-elles se sont retrouvées parmi le 10 premières du Top Pop Singles USA, 6 parmi le 10 premières du Chart Singles UK, 1 du Top Hot Dance Disco USA. Et il y en a 6 supers qui se classent de la position 11 à 100 que ce soit dans le Top Pop Singles USA où bien dans le Chart Singles UK. Da ich diese Zeit noch ein wenig miterlebt habe, habe ich auch die wirklich guten Sachen dieser Zeit zu schätzen gelernt, sprich ich mochte sie! Eine gute Susammenstellung, ein Querschnitt der Musik dieser Zeit! FlowerPower der 70er und die kann empfohlen werden!!!

Ce Coffret comprend 5 CD avec 100 morceaux qui ont été classés dans les tops 30 UK principalement ou US à la fin des 70’. Pour ma part j’ai tout de suite rangé les CD dans un coffret pour 4 CD et un coffret d’un CD. J’ai ensuite découpé l’emballage en carton pour obtenir des CD pratiques et présentables. Il est vrai que je suis maniaque et un CD doit être traité comme un vinyle pour les conserver en bon état.
