Fantastic bit of kit
I love victorinox saks and this one is my favourite. So many useful tools and a Phillips screwdriver instead of a corkscrew makes this ideal for those small tasks around the house. I changed up the scales to the plus ones to add the pen and pin, which is easy to do, to fuly kit it out. The knife is very sharp out of the box ,as always, pliers are useful for smaller tasks and, as with every victorinox saks, the scissors are sharp and very capable. Slips easily into your pocket. taking hardly any room and has every tool you need so it's very versatile for a pocket sized tool. I love it, easily worth the money and another win from victorinox

The perfect pocket multitool ever!
The red rounded end scales of this Victorinox Tinker Delux makes the perfect pocket / EDC carry. No hard angular edges, always smooth to the touch and a joy to use and depend on every time. Handy tweezers clip into the end of the 'Tinker. Turn the multitool around and there's the toothpick for those awkward moments. The 7cm blade is 'friendly carry', very sharp and perfectly proportioned for most cutting requirements. Any of the Tinker's blades sharpen well using Lanksey's inexpensive pocket diamond sharpening tool. The Phillips screwdriver is exactly how a Phillips should be. It is neither too big or too small. Its sprung pliers are good for exacting difficult things, even an angler would be pleased using it to extract a hook from a fish's mouth. The multi-functional hook is perfect to carry heavy supermarket carrier bags that would otherwise hurt one's fingers. Altogether, the various knives and tools included in the Deluxe Tinker knife came oiled, sharpened, and cleaned. At the Victorinox factory every single multitool is carefully inspected. The knife was very clean when it arrived, and everything functioned perfectly. The snips are good for cutting wire, and the bottle opener ends are good as flat bladed screwdriver ends. The can opener works every time. No bottle caps remain - off the come with no hassle! Oh how I LOVE this Swiss Army Knife! This is a really good looking, dependable piece of kit to carry around in your pocket or EDC bag. Or handbag, even. It has all the standard tools, plus the scissors, pliers, and a Philips screwdriver instead of the usual corkscrew. Overall, a fantastic piece of gear and a beautiful compliment of tools for almost any day to day tasks. I could not recommend this product anymore than I already do and truthfully, if it says Victorinox on it, you cannot go wrong. Finally, don't buy those cheap crappity knockoffs. Made of inferior steel, often coated in titanium to give the impression of hardness, these tools never last and in the long run are a terrible waste of money and they'll head for the bin. Quality is everything. You do indeed get what you paid for in this Victorinox Tinker Delux will promise long years of dependable service. What a joy to have bought it! It's my second Swiss Army Knife. It's an indulgent self-present because I'm worth it and you should buy it also, because you're worth it, too! Thoroughly and most enthusiastically - recommended! Thank you for reading.

Probably the most real-world useful SAK, and 'UK Friendly'.
This Swiss Army Knife (SAK) does not have locking blades, and the blades are under the UK maximum permitted size, making it 'UK Friendly'. I bought it because a friend pointed out that old multi-tool I've had on my belt for years is NOT UK friendly, and I could end up in trouble simply for having it on my belt in a public place. In the UK you are not permitted to carry anything with locking blades or blades over 3" in public. This includes multi-tools, which is something I didn't know until recently. The Deluxe Tinker has four layers (one is a bit fatter than the others to accommodate the pliers), so it fits in the smaller 2-4 layer belt pouches. As a multi-tool, this is probably the most versatile and practical of any SAK. Yes, you can get the insane Giant and Swiss Champ tools, but they are almost a marketing exercise to show just how many functions you can fit in one tool. If you actually intend to use the thing, it needs to be a bit more practical. Having looked at lots of options, I felt that the combination of scissors, pliers, three screwdrivers, two modest blades, bottle and can openers, hook and a couple of other bits and bobs would suit me perfectly. I've had it for a couple of months now, and I definitely made the right choice. I can't say I've needed a corkscrew, which was displaced in favour of a full-sized Philips screwdriver on this tool. That was a good call, as the central location of the screwdriver allows a really good grip to remove stuck screws. If you really want a corkscrew, the Handyman has a similar feature set and adds a saw, file and corkscrew. Cool, but in all honesty, not features I really need. I'd actually like to understand the scenario in which I would need all those features. In what sort of world will I saw branches to make a shelter, and then open a bottle of wine...? Nothing on this tool is a novelty - it's a proper Swiss Army Knife. The scissors are real. You can cut paper or clip your fingernails with them, and they are strong enough to deadhead roses - I just did exactly that. Beware of the knife blades - they are razor sharp. One is very small, and actually the one I use the most. It's perfect for opening boxes. The pliers are a little small if you are used to a Gerber tool, but the Deluxe Tinker is half the size of a Gerber. I've used the pliers for repairing key chains and my wife's necklace after it got caught in her handbag strap, which is real-word use. I can't say I ever actually used the pliers on my Gerber for anything! The best feature of this tool is the price. It's £40. For a genuine, Swiss-made Victorinox tool with a lifetime guarantee.

The best tool for the modern man
This little tool has changed me for a “this needs to get done” person to a “I got it done” person. Carrying it in my pocket all the time means when I see something that need doing, I can just get it done, label needs snipping? It’s gone. Package needs opening? It’s open and recycled before I’ve even got into the house. Door not hanging straight? It is now. It’s an amazing how many micro jobs around the house get done, without needing to be recorded or remembered. It frees up mind space, whilst simultaneously making me feel like I’m in control of my environment. I went for the tinker deluxe as the pliers are so handy for holding or fixing. The screw driver is great for those little jobs without needing to go to the garage and hunt. I didn’t need a saw and I can remember the last time I used a wine bottle that needed a screw. I think this is the best tool for the modern man.

Got an incredible deal on this SAK which I'd been eyeing for a while. I was worried it would be too big in my pocket but although it's a bit on the larger side, it hasn't been an issue for EDC. It is the standard, excellent quality that one comes to expect from Victorinox. The plyers are more useful than they look! If you're buying a pocket knife / multi tool, it's Victorinox or nothing. Highly recommend.
