There was a fair amount of room to spare as well. Luckily we had a safe in the hotel room, so left the passports and tickets etc in there each day, but had we not then this would have been fine for storing those as well. Put these through the wash when we got back (in a netted bag at 40C with other clothes in) and it came out just fine. Will definitely take on our next trip. In the meantime however, my wife uses hers as a running belt when out running, and says it works just fine for that purpose as well. The material on the rear of the belt (the mesh that touches the skin) is such that despite the hot temperatures, the belt does not feel clammy on the skin and doesn't stick to the skin. The belt doesn't ride up and because I wore it with the pouch on my hip (as opposed to stomach), after a few minutes I forgot that I was wearing it.
