plenty of light, adjustable hue
We replaced a 4-tube central kitchen lamp with four of these LED lamps, going from 140W to 40W total. Almost a little too much light and we might consider installing a dimmer. The lamps are now right over the work surfaces with much less shadowing. They are recessed deep enough to avoid glare. The old lamp needed new tubes all the time - these should last the life of the house.Installation was simple - each lamp has a small but functional junction box on top. Drilling the holes was easy with a 4.33" hole drill (don't try this with a saw!) - just make sure you avoid the joists (stud finder works). The most difficult part was refinishing the ceiling where the old fixture was.The fixture has two spring-loaded arms that hold the lamp firmly in place but the lamps can be pulled down to reach the color selector - a nice feature which we used twice before settling on the best hue.

Cheap and it shows. Bent frames
Received the 4" version. 4 of 8 were bent. To get support you have to go through their website rather than Amazon. That was my first flag. However, I ordered a replacement and I will update my review if they are any different.Regardless, as I inspected the lights I immediately noticed that the gasket that "should" provide a moisture tight seal is defective on all of them. The edge of the light that presses against the ceiling is deeper than the gasket. The gasket does nothing. The only way you will get an air/moisture tight seal with these is if it gouges into your ceiling until it meets the gasket. I would absolutely NOT use these in a bathroom or anywhere you expect moisture or want to avoid air infiltration.I received the second box and almost all of the lights were bent on the rim. You can press them into the ceiling and it "should" bend them back in place since the metal is pretty soft. They really need to update the packaging to prevent this from happening.
