HONE - Guitar Hygrometer - Humidity & Temperature Monitor (MN312)

This humidity monitor is for guitars and other stringed instruments. If you're using a gig bag, this can't be successful until you replace it with a decent hard case to keep humidity steady and dispersed. Nomad has a unit with a sponge that requires purified water, and rests between the strings at the sound hole. The monitor attaches easily; problem solved. The monitor is sensitive to any changes in humidity. It is easy to read. I appreciate that the price is amazing. I can sleep at night knowing my investment is safe, protected from neglect. The Nomad humidifier and monitor work well in tandem and are small enough to fit my Travel guitar along with my other acoustics and electric guitars. We're ALL seeing the guitar industry shaving costs by promoting satin finishes over nitrocellulose, Saplewood used on the backs and sides replacing mahogany and rosewood. Soft Cases now come with $1,600 instruments, whereas a few years ago, a hard case came with thousand-dollar guitars. Get the most out of your ax.

I love this thermometer & hygrometer combination SO MUCH that I keep one in each of my acoustic guitar cases at all times! Acoustic guitars in particular are very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. You may have even noticed that a lot of guitar stores don’t display their acoustic guitars in the same area where the electric guitars are. The acoustics will be in a climate controlled room where temperature and humidity are not subject to extreme changes. This device will enable you to monitor the environment that your acoustic guitar lives in and ensure that you’re not exposing your beloved instrument to shrinking, swelling, loosening of the bridge, neck joints, etc. PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT! I’ve even purchased this item for several friends who weren’t aware of the damage that can occur to their guitars from temperature and humidity fluctuations. One last word: NEVER leave your guitar in your vehicle!! Treat it responsibly, like you would treat your children and pets! 🎶❤️🎶

I love this thing. I had a pricey hygrometer for years in my Martin's case that finally quit. I gave this a chance and amd I'm very pleased. It's accurate when tested and I like the way it unobtrusively sits inside the guitar soundhole.

My original review wasn’t good. It is below. I put these and a different one in a gallon Ziplock with a 49% Bovida humidity pack. After 24 hours one are reading 49% and the other is 48%. The Thermpro is also reading 49%. So these hygrometers work great! 😊 I have three different types of hygrometers in the house and in guitar cases. I compared to three other hygrometers and the AccuWeather error indoor humidity. All the the others are 30-31% and AccuWeather estimates 34%… these Music Nomad hygrometers immediately dropped down to below 20%.

Does exactly what it says it will do. Simple. Easy to use. Gives me peace of mind that my guitar is within proper RH when using humidity packs. Been using it for 6 months and no problems at all. Love it. Would buy it again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Price and trust in brand Ease of use: Should have an on/off switch other than removing the battery, which is NOT convenient to do. There is a screw holding the battery compartment closed, but it is not easy to re-attach when closing. This is not good engineering design, and it would not have involved re-inventing the wheel to make it better. Functionality: Seems to be accurate on Temperature and Humidity. However, leaving it on the guitar strings inside the case is not feasible, as the lid presses down on it too much when closed: very sad, sorry design which I would expect Music Nomad engineers to have done much better somehow. Make it flatter or hang lower, or don't suggest that it can work on top of the strings. I'm guessing they farmed this out to their foreign supplier, who totally misses the point or else just couldn't care less. Protection: If humidity is your concern, this does seem to give a good indication and track the history. Value for money: Not dirt cheap, but maybe a better value than others that cost more because it does work. Adjustment capability: Saving the high/low measurements is helpful, actually necessary, and this is fine for doing that. Works well: Works, but not good for leaving attached as advertised. It could also use an on/off switch to save battery life when absolutely nothing is changing in the environment. But at least this way, it will catch whatever spikes do occur unexpectedly in Temp/Humidity.

Nice readout, easy to see at a quick glance. Having worked in environmental testing laboratory and having old bones with barometric sensitivity , I am very impressed with the reliable accuracy this device has at the price. I’m perfectly confident in getting accurate enough reading in room near guitar to keep my guitar safe. I play spontaneously at all hours. But yes, your design will indeed get decimal place precision at the sound hole entrance. If you spent $500 or more on a guitar, you need humidity awareness. This is a good one

Très bien pour connaître le taux d’humidité mais il faut lui ajouter le boîtier pour ajuster ce taux et là c’est parfait même en laissant la guitare sur son support,de 35% je suis remonté à 49%

This little Hygrometer works great. I have it sitting on a table right beside my Taylor guitar and it keeps track of the temp and humidity in my room perfect. Highly recommend
