Nitecore P12. Easy to use. Great versatile tool.
I bought this flashlight after being amazed at someone else who had it at work. I build elevators, so sometimes I need to see something a few floors away or just a few feet. This flashlight did a tremendous job. The fist time I needed to see far away was in an unlit hoistway. I needed to look about 12 floors up while changing the hoist ropes on the elevator. Without any other lights I was able to look up and follow the ropes and distinguish which was which (so they don't get tangled). I also use it to see close things better or to illuminate my work area. It has come in handy many times a day.The button is easy to activate with the flashlight hooked in a pocket. The all metal construction has saved it from a few falls. I don't use the "other" modes, aside from brightness, but I do like the battery level feature. With the light off, hold mode then press power. The mode button blinks blue 1-4 times, pauses, then blinks 1-9 times. Battery level is 0.1 to 4.0. This way I can tell if I need to charge the battery before I go to bed and have a fresh battery for the next day.

just great! It is small
I use it almost every night walking my dog in the neighborhood checking dark places for skunk and other small animals (otherwise my dog got sprayed few times a year). Also I use it around the house and take it with me on every travel and camping trip. This flashlight is unbelievable, just great! It is small, but not too small, just right size to fit in a hand, and it is weightless. The beam is just enough wide, diffused by its lens very smoothly and nicely while keeping the center spot very bright. Four levels of brightness are all I would need for lighting my way from 20 to about 200 meters. I use it mostly on the second level of brightness (good for up to 20-50 m) and its rechargeable battery lasts for about a month of everyday use for 1/2+ hour night dog walking. Did I say it is completely waterproof, rugged, and looks very cool in black finish!Best flashlight I have ever had!

Great for HVAC crawlspaces or attics.
Made my coworkers say "He's holding out on us" in attic today when I put the flashlight on a plenum and put it on the brightest setting to illuminate the entirety of the mansions attic. 10/10 brightness I just wish the battery life was longer or that I could easily find the on-brand batteries by Nitecore. Heavy duty handheld flashlight. BEWARE of clip placement; if you place the clip in the wrong area the flashlight will NOT turn on. Charge your battery till the light turns green.

I Love this Latest P12!!! (The Perfect EDC Flashlight)...Updated
Update:I've been using this P12 every night, inside and out, to do spot checks, and this is now my favorite and Brightest, compact flashlight, and it seams to run forever with my Orbtronic 18650 batteries. (The Orbtronic 3600mAh 18650 Protected batteries can only be bought on the Orbtronic web site)I've really begun to LOVE this P12, it's amazing!Review below. This new 2015 version P12 is a Great little compact flashlight!!!I'm comparing it to the other compact flashlights I own, which are all very close in brightness, size and cost.I own the P16 (Love this light!), the SRT 6, and the SRT 7, also some others, but they're lower lumen output flashlights. When considering the size, especially for your EDC light, this is the best, being slightly lighter in weight, and no flared out reflector assembly, it's 1 inch in diameter, all the length of the flashlight. The total, overall length is 5.5 inches long, which is about 9/16ths shorter than the P16 and the SRT 6 & 7. So for your front or rear Jean pocket, this flashlight will be a very good fit.Brightness wise, this is a very bright little flashlight. It's hot spot is equal in size, to the hot spot of the P16 and the SRT 6 & 7, but to your eye, you can see that it's a little brighter/more white. All 4 are very bright for such compact flashlights, but this new P12 being smaller, makes it that much more impressive. Also, in comparing all 4, I can't tell any difference in the surrounding fill light, either in size, or brightness. All 4 are very good! But again, the brightest hot spot goes to the P12. (by a small margin).Feature wise, this P12 is identical to the P16, with the tail cap push button switch being the On/Off and momentary on switch, and the separate forward button controlling the mode (low/med-low/med-high/high), and when held in for over 1 second, it goes into Strobe mode first, then hold in for over another second, and it goes into it's S.O.S. mode, hold in for over another second, and it goes into it's Beacon mode. It also has built in memory, so what you shut it off in, it will start up in, the next time you turn on the flashlight. I really like flashlights with these features, and NiteCore seams to know this!Power wise, it's identical to the P16 the SRT 6, and the SRT 7, all can use a single 18650 li-ion battery, or 2 CR123a batteries, which I consider to be a big advantage for any flashlight. The P12 also has identical runtimes, as the other 3, all of which are very respectable! My choice is a Orbtronic 3600mAh Protected 18650.Build quality wise, there are no surprises, it's a very solidly built flashlight, made to IPX-8 standards, and 1.5 meter impact resistant. High quality seals, and high quality switches. Simply built to last! The biggest difference between all 4 flashlights are the candlepower, and there throwing distance. The P12 comes in dead last in both of these areas. The highest CD and throwing distance goes to the SRT7, then the P16, then the P12. Sorry, I didn't check the SRT 6. Now this is just my opinion, but as a EDC flashlight, throwing distance isn't a big factor, at least not for me. Still all are very respectable. As a EDC, which I think this flashlight is best suited for, it has excellent specs, and is a great performer. This is the perfect compact flashlight for doing those routine spot checks.I do highly recommend the P12 if your considering it!

Tac Light
I used this for a lower cost alternative for a home defense weapon light after being impressed with the headlamps. It's on an offset mount on a picatinny rail. The switch on the back works well for momentary light and click on for constant. 1000 lumens. nuff said. There are weapon lights that are only 400 lumens so this, believe me, is very bright. It's not a surefire with a pressure switch but it works and wont set you back $400.

Great light and very good seller. Came quickly and well packaged
Nitecore makes great equiptment. When it comes to lights you really get what you pay for. This is my second Nitecore. My first fell out of my hands on the docks and right into the water. The part that sucks is that it shined in 50 feet of water for my wholle 12 hour shift just taunting me. I count on my light and thats why keep coming back to Nitecore. I run them on my AR and other firearms and they work like a champ.
