Roca-kit Elements Soft Closing Hinge (Cover) Brass Kit

These hinges are much better quality than original hinges! We installed two Roca Toilets - look good! But that is about it, as found by many others both toilet seats broke at the left hinge within two days of one another! (Have they got a secret timer?) We ordered the above hinges for the Hall toilet seat and they are brilliant! Stronger in every way! However the other Sidney toilet seat has sheared off at the screw so will have to order a full very expensive toilet seat and lid Roca shame on you! Is the money saved on dodgy plastic hinges worth all the bad publicity!

Our original Dama Senso lid hinges broke and I was horrified to see the price of the preplacement seat and lid. Luckily, I saw these as a recommended product on the page for the seat and lid and thought I'd take a punt and buy these in the hope it saved me £40. These are much better hinges than the original plastic ones as others have said. It should be noted that these are hinges for both the lid and the seat. Even though we only needed the lid we've replaced both. My husband did complain that it was quite fiddly and it did take him a while to do it and he's usually pretty good at this sort of thing. But a week later and the seat and lid are still going up and down so we're happy.

Does the job, although as others have said, seems very expensive for what it is. Much better quality than the original fitments, but I did have an issue where the small bits that you fit in after to hide the screws didn't sit in properly and fell out when closing the toilet seat. I managed to fix this with a bit of blutack on one of them, but the other one I was unable to fix in the same way so have just given up and left the screw showing.

One of the original plastic parts broke after 13 years so I ordered these as a replacement. As others have observed these are metal and stronger. They fit quite well. You can remove the seat unit from the toilet using a small allen key in the slot at the back of middle section of each hinge. It may be useful to take lots of photos as you dismantle the unit. The instructions provided were not much help; reassembly was easy once I realised that the configuration is not symmetrical - you fit the pieces differently at each end.

Easily fitted with a screwdriver and 3mm allen key, these are much more sturdy than the useless lumps of flawed plastic originally supplied and which of course failed. I agree with many others here - shame Roca put the penny-pinching placcy ones on in the first place! Spending a penny has just become flipping expensive.

The product is relatively good, although I feel there should not be such a high charge for a replacement item, the original soft close system should not break in the first place. However, it took a ridiculous amount of time to work out how to assemble and refit the new parts. The instructions were unclear and we resorted to guessing and then starting again when it didn’t work. For such a reputable company, Roca should make a number of changes to both the original hinge and the expensive replacement.

Was annoyed when the hinges broke on what was an expensive toilet. This steel kit replaces the rubbish plastic hinges you get with the new unit. Its quite logical to fit it but just take your time as the instructions aren't the best. Make sure you take it apart and make a note of how the old bits fitted together - that will save you getting stuck later on! Much more sturdy than the originals and they stay looking smart

A high quality item to replace the original plastic hinges. We inherited this loo when we bought our house. The original plastic hinges gave way eventually. These metal items appear to of a much higher quality. Fairly easy, if a little fiddly, to fit. While relatively expensive a lot better than having to buy a whole new seat.

La verdad es que estoy muy contenta con estas bisagras. La calidad es mucho mejor que las originales de plástico: las anteriores se me rompieron y me costaba abrir la tapa. Lo que más me gusta es la caída lenta: con mi hija en casa me ahorro más de un susto. Al principio solo me encontré la opción de comprar la tapa+bisagras, pero yo tenía la tapa perfecta y costaba 120 €, así que encontrar bisagras sueltas que es lo unico que tenía roto fue un alivio. Lo único que no me ha gustado tanto son las instrucciones, que no están muy claras. Me costó un poco montarlas y al final tuve que mirar algún vídeo en YouTube para entenderlo bien. En resumen, funcionan de maravilla, son resistentes y seguras, y aunque el montaje sea un poco lío, merecen la pena.

Le système d'origine était en plastique peint couleur inox. Il a fini par casser. Ces charnières freinées de remplacement sont elles en métal revêtu d'inox. C'est donc solide et je suis satisfaite. Pourquoi ne pas équiper d'origine la lunette et son abattant avec ce système en métal ???
