Did not disappoint. Wonderfully high quality for a travel journal
So very very nice to work on. Will be perfect for my art workshop in France. I didn’t clip the paper down to the pad so it does warp but that’s on me. Excellent resilience with glazing and lifting. Great size and weight, love the spiral binding. It’s made watercolor fun again.

GREAT FOR TRAVEL OR CLASS
It’s awesome paper. Even amateurs like me deserve Arches paper .This “journal” format is just the right size for a landscape whether you are tromping through Istanbul and find yourself sketching in Sultanahmet square or happen to take an art class in architectural sketching; or maybe even want to do some quick landscape studies as you hike in the foothills of the Atlas mountains or even closer to home along local hiking trails. Or perhaps your mother-in-law‘s garden, or some water lilies during a lazy afternoon in your canoe.Anyway, it’s great paper just enjoy it

It's like Bitcoin: there's only ONE sketchbook worth owning if you do real watercolour sketching!
As soon as it got to America (Amazon), I bought it. I make my living as a watercolor artist, and ...you have to use "real pro" sketchbooks if you're going to USE a sketchbook. I've tried so many, and even tried making my own Arches cp 140lb sketchbook, but YOU'RE WORTH IT. Just doodling, or doing plein air sketching, don't take the cheap out: get what you'd usually paint on for paper, like this product, and you'll save yourself tons of frustration. It's real watercolour paper, the texture is Arches, easy to use (though I still tape the edges even doing plein air), and while it seems like an investment, you'll find yourself using it more and more, it handles water so well, and imo there is NO excuse to NOT have an Arches sketchbook. I had someone offer to BUY one of my pages (but he couldn't afford what I'd be asking, because another painting was on the back pages). You're worth it: get the best and use it. When you fill it up, you'll have a masterpiece.

I always use this paper
The best watercolor paper I have ever found I only use this. There may be others but I don’t look for anything else. If you’re doing watercolor it’s difficult enough without being cheap with supplies. Buy fewer paints and brushes but buy the best also!!

Watercolorists can’t ask for better paper than 100% cotton Arches. Worth every penny.

This is the perfect size to take along when you are painting away from home. And as always, Arches paper can't be beat.
