Wago WAG273/PAN100 Wire Connectors: 20 x 2 Wires, 60 x 3 Wires and 20 x 5 Wires, Pack of 100

I got these to install some under-cupboard led lighting at 12v, but they can also be used for mains voltage. I found they work best with solid core cables. Unfortunately some of the wire connecting to the led units were stranded and they were a bit of a problem. The connection is made by pushing the wire into one of the holes in the connector, and you'll need to strip 10 - 15 mm of insulation from the end of the wire first. In the pack there are 2-wire, 3-wire and 5-wire connectors, which obviously let you join that many wires together. If you're joining mains cables together you'll need to use three connectors - one each for the live, neutral and earth wires.They work by clamping the wires in places when you push them in, and it does need a bit of effort to separate the two sides of the clamping mechanism. That's why they work best with solid core wire. The stranded wire doesn't have the strength to separate the clamp. The wire just bends. Also be sure to get your wiring right first time. Although you can get the wire back out after it's been clamped in place, it needs a hefty pull and I wasn't able to re-use the connector afterwards.These connectors are quick and easy to use, and I'd certainly recommend them if you're using the right cable. You might also want to check out the lever clamp style, which I've had before. They're easier to use, although they're a bit bigger and more expensive.

I have to say they are worth every penny. They make connecting wires so simple. strip the end and push into the block. Thats it.. they make life so simple. The wire/s can also be removed by twisting the block left to right whilst slipping the wire out of the connector.. I had 6 lights, 2 switches and power feed done in minutes.. small, compact and worth it!

these flatter wagos are priceless for lighting circuits but I max=24A only, hence four stars. Also packaging is in french.

Excellent product for the price, better than block connectors and very easy to use. Doubt I'll use anything other than these going forward.

its only suitable for solid conductor don't buy if your wire is stranded like i had on my luminare so had to use other connector and had to order other wago

makes the job of connecting wires so easy and the pack has a good selection of various sizes . I was pleased that using these took up no more room than using a conventional junction box
