Actually, I didn't consult a doctor. I read a lot of reviews and did a good deal of research to land on this company's page. I threw all my other makeup in the trash, so it's a good thing this made the grade. If you are wondering why your face requires more makeup the more you use it, consider an allergy. When all makeup does this, consider titanium dioxide. You can't get makeup without it except for a few obscure brands. This brand was the find of a decade. There was a thin, oily film on top of the make-up, which I had to wipe off of the solid product beneath it with a tissue before I could use it. After using it - or, trying to - several times, I realized that that oil was probably an important ingredient, because now the makeup is chalky and crumbly. Very difficult to use, and drying to my skin.
