Vitax Q4 - One of the most comprehensive garden fertilizers ever
Sold in a really useful strong plastic tub with lid and carry-handle, I have used this all my professional horticultural life as the best all round fertilizer with trace elements which many pelleted feeds do not have. (I am RHS Wisley trained and also did a number of BBC gardening broadcasts on a question panel, so I do know what it good and what is not.)

Best plant food for your outdoor plants
I would use nothing else for my borders for a boost in early spring. Buy in a pot and it keeps better than a box…..more economical too. First rate product.

The best time
To use this is February to March to make up for depletion of nutrients during winter...that's the theory anyway, only needed once or twice a year.
