Silent but deadly...
It seems a little futile reviewing a graphics card when their shelf life is often shorter than a can of baked beans. However, whilst this one performs as well as every other GeForce 1080, it is the cooler that sets each 3rd party card apart from Nvidia’s own reference design. In the case of the Palit Super Jetstream, the cooler is a monster, taking up slightly more than the two slots. Fortunately, the card stays completely silent in normal desktop use and only spins up its two fans when the workload gets more intense (about 50oC), but even then it remains quiet. The card also requires one 8-pin and one 6 pin power connector. As for where the 1080 is at this point in time (May 2018), the Pascal architecture has been around since 2016, but with AMD struggling to compete at this end of the market with its Vega 56 and 64 there is little incentive for Nvidia to push onwards. Also, with many games built for the PS4 and Xbox One, the 1080 is more than enough for playing the latest games at 1080p or 1440p at Ultra settings, providing you have a strong CPU to feed it (using it with an i7 7700K). Rise of the Tomb Raider and the Witcher 3 are certainly no trouble with every setting cranked up at 1080p.The cooler also features an RGB “Palit” logo, which seems to default to green. I have yet to download Palit’s “Thundermaster” software to test it though. Frankly, with different RGB tools for my motherboard and my RAM, adding a third one is not a huge priority...With the 1080Ti keeping the Bitcoin miners occupied, the 1080 and 1070Ti are far more attractively priced and still constitute a good buy for most if not all PC games currently on the market.

Powerful card at a very reasonable price
If you're looking to buy a graphics card purely for gaming, this is probably overkill and you'd be better off with a gtx1070 or 980, however when I bought it there wasn't a huge difference in price (blame bitcoin mining) so I figured it was worth the extra ~£50.ProsI bought this graphics card in October (~7 months ago now) and so far it has handled any game I've thrown at it at 2560x1440 resolution with ease, and if I had a better monitor it could definately handle 4K resolution or VR.Mine is air cooled by the case fans and I've had no heating issues (the card itself is silent, to the point where I've had to check to see if the fans were even running!).Compared with other gtx1080's this card sits at the lower end of the price scale, while being around the mid-point on performance.ConsThe card is definitely larger than most, so make sure you've got a medium - large sized case (I use a Prism Black RGB case, which has more than enough room for it).Additionally it is quite heavy so I was worried the mounting plate might bend, but so far I've had zero issues while not using any additional supports and having moved house with it.I've seen a few people in the comments claiming its a scam, so if you see anyone offering this card for <£400 steer clear as its probably a fake and check which vendor you're buying from to make sure they're reputable (the vendor can be seen under the name of the card at the top of the store page), I got mine from palit the makers of the card and would recommend you do the same.In conclusion, this is a solid choice for anyone looking to pick up a high end card and I would happily recommend it over any other gtx 1080 currently available.

Great for VR
This is a BIG card, but I think the cooler design is quite nice. Will handle pretty much anything you can throw at it, not just new AAA games but I'm enjoying older titles with mods and maxed out settings now as well.Beware the PCI-E power connectors (1x8 1x6) sit right at the top of the board, so the power cables will stand proud. If you have a narrower ITX case (e.g. Corsair 240) this will NOT fit without some scary bending of cables and stress on the motherboard.

What a gpu.
This graphics card is fantastic. Was an amazing price off amazon warehouse deals and ive had the palit 970 previously so i know the jetstream cards are very good. Can play most games at 4k if i tweak the settings and can also stream to my nvidia shield .Perfect combo. Its been a year now and this still is worth what i paid for it, that says somthing.

Tested a number of games all at max settings (1080 and 1440p) Witcher 3 - Project cars 2 - Total War Warhammer 2 - WRC 7 and Dirt Rally
This Palit 1080 is a true powerhouse. Runs virtually silent even when gaming at 68c the highest temperature I recorded . Tested a number of games all at max settings (1080 and 1440p) Witcher 3 - Project cars 2 - Total War Warhammer 2 - WRC 7 and Dirt Rally this card eats them up its so quiet and runs cool. The card takes up three PCI slots in my mid tower case also with the Palit logo lighting there is no fading out. Lighting is consistent across the whole front of Palit logo.I have not overclocked this card yet and its already running 2000MHz. Only downside is the card is heavy you will need a strong PCI slot (metal). But if you don't have one you could do a bit of DIY support.Awesome piece of hardware. I picked this up for £469.

Good Card
Read some good reviews on this card, I have no real issues so far - although the packaging is poor compared with likes of MSI and ASUS
