SUNTEC 100cm 39.4in Warm White Under Cupboard/Camping Light Battery Operated Waterproof LED Strip Light Gerneric for Home Kitchen Outdoor Light Decor B1W

I bought this strip of lights to use as a temporary fix for under-cupboard lighting in the kitchen. The kitchen overhead lighting is not great and there is none wired to the cupboards over the worktops. It is quite a major task for an electrician to run cables through a tiled kitchen and I could not face up to the task. I bought one strip of these lights to see what light they might shed under the cupboards. The 1 metre strip is powered by 3 x 1.5w batteries. I have used 3 re-chargeable batteries. The battery box with the on-off switch sticks easily under the cupboard and out of sight using Velcro. The light strip is self-adhesive and is also tucked out of sight. After a couple of weeks of usage I found that the adhesive on the light strip was not strong enough to stay on the cupboard. A couple of pieces of velcro has remedied that problem. The light is good, from fully charged batteries, and it is just the job. I am impressed enough to invest in a couple more strips for more cupboards. I don't know what the lifespan of the system will be. The switch is just a small sliding switch and it may be vulnerable to frequent usage but time will tell. I won't be rushing to bring the electrician and his drill into the kitchen

I love this product, I was looking for something for my dog kennel that I am building. I wanted to be able to light up the insides whilst cleaning it etc. I was skeptical at first of the sticking power of the tape (I was wanting to stick it to unfinished palette wood). I bought some Gorilla tape at the same time to mount it. This product actually arrived first and it stuck straight away, no un-pealing or anything. The lights themselves look waterproof however I am unsure of the battery boxes water resistance capabilities. (It takes 3x AA)

Good product although I am having difficulty sticking the battery pack to the underside of the wall cupboard.

We have a run of wall cupboards in the kitchen 1800mm long, Fridge/freezer at one end, wall at the other end. The worktop is very dark under them as we're always working in our shadow. As usual, there are not enough sockets to allocate one for under cupboard lighting, and it's far too much trouble to run a cable from the back of a socket because of the splashback, and anyway there's not really what you'd call a light baffle, more of a trim. So:- When I saw this metre long battery operated strip I knew it was the one for me. It's perfect; I ordered it on the 23rd; It arrived on the 26th. I put it smack in the middle of the run. It took 2 minutes to put up. It has it's own adhesive strip. I put double-sided tabs on the battery box. All hidden. Excellent! We didn't want too stark a light and this is just right. I couldn't be more pleased!

Fab - was an effective way of lighting up the kitchen area of our tent at Glastobury last year. Hasn't needed a change of batteries yet.

Do exactly what they say. Unfortunately they don't corner so can only be used on straight surfaces.
