About the length from my elbow to fingertips. Don't be fooled by its size though, it does the job very nicely. I've been using it to break through concrete, split bricks, move 4-metre sleepers with a gentle swing. Very happy with this. Small enough to be practical in smaller spaces, Heavy enough to do some serious grunt work. The handle does not feel as solid as it could, & is the only reason it doesn't have five stars.
