5 Part Paint Pad Set

I recently purchased this paind pad set to paint my newly bought house from top to bottom and i am absolutley amazed with the results. I initially put this product to one side and started off with a roller which I am not particularly keen on, after 2 days off using a roller and putting up with the splashes I took this pad set out. I found that this is a much easier way of painting, its quicker than a roller, no mess or paint splashes but best of all it saved me time as I needed one coat of paint. Using this paint set, I would reccommend that you be generous with the amount of paint you apply but dont be overly generous. You can easily notice when the pad is becoming dry which means time for more paint. I applied a thick coat on all my walls and i tell you what, its a very smooth finish, not like how a paint brush would leave it with all the faint lines. I just wished i had bought two of these in the first place rather than spending a fortune on loads of brushes and rollers etc.The only small downside is that the edging is not as brilliant as made out to be. If you want perfect edges and lines then use what i did, frog tape which is not cheap but its excellent stuff or use a smaller paint brush, Harris of course.Overall impressive product and have to say that Harris Taskmaster is the best product i have ever used

First off I have to say that If I'd payed attention to all the 1 and 2 star reviews here I would never have bough this but because of price and the majority of reviews I thought it was worth a gamble.I would have normally used my usual rollers, tray and brushes but like others have found this can be quite messy and I had a kitchen to repaint to I thought it was worth the small investment.I'm happy to report things went very well, I didn't have a problem with the pads shredding or falling off the handles. I do think that there could be some improvements, the large pad is just slightly too large for the tray. To get a good spread of paint on the pad it needs a bit of rocking back and forth. The small cutting in pad is a bit too small for accurate cutting in around light switches and the like, I found using painters tape and the medium pad worked well in this case, also when trying to get in awkward spaces it doesn't quite get to the edge.With the proper technique and not overloading the pad this produces very good results.

Have been using this to decorate most of the rooms in my house.It all cleans very easily in warm water and still works like it is new.Sometimes I don't even use the tray just dip the sponge straight into the paint tub and if I know it will take me a few days to get the job done, I leave the sponge just sitting on top of the paint and it stays moist and ready to use next day.I decorate a lot and although its not my job I would definitely recommend this set.Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store.Does a fab job on finish, nothing will ever beat spray but this does a great job.Uses a lot less paint than a roller and makes absolutely no mess, no drips, edges well and can paint behind radiators.Snap on is really quick too.

Nothing wrong with the pads. They are of decent quality and the idea seems good but in practice it did not work for me at all. I tried and I tried... and returned to the trusted Dulux brush and rollers. I could not even do cutting with these pads, not even with the smallest of them. It is hard to put paint on them evenly, and it smudges all over the plastic edges and leaves marks where it should not. It is a purely personal preference, but they did not work for me.

There are many unpleasant jobs I would rather do then paint, however I had to paint my lounge area as it was a disgrace due to my son using the walls as a napkin, the walls were painted with non washable paint. I ordered this because the reviews were good and it's cheap. It's very good, I usually spend more time clearing up my spillages and splash marks but not a single one today. Didn't even use a dust sheet, the finish was even and so easy to use. I would have loved a second a handle so that two people can paint at the same time using the smaller brush. However my husband was happy about this. Would definitely recommend.

Had a newly plastered kitcken ceiling to emulsion pure brilliant white matt finish.Used a brush, as have done over years soon as lights above wall units, were used could see brush marks chased these several times---still there,---options now roller or try a "fivers" worth of PADS even if it failed badly no great loss.Package arrived a day early,thanks Amazon good service.It takes a few minutes to get used to, the amount on the pad and how far to spread each fill, but WOW well worth the effort,finish great even with lights beaming up,much faster coverage, the acid tests, I thought would be the fibres coming out and balling on the ceiling,some but hardly noticeable,test 2 would be does it wash and clean up without falling apart? No problem there either.Have all the walls to emulsion now, encouraged by results so far!!! and I was willing to dump it after the trial!!!!Effiecent, quick, and just a fiver.No tiny spots all over everything that rollers leave,even when care is taken.Would be pleased to Recommend

We tried two different paint pads in our recent redecorating project. These were by far the best and easiest to use. They are good quality and apply the paint evenly.There is a bit of skill involved in using them so do practice a bit first. The main skill is in loading the correct amount of paint on the pad. I'd also recommend having a rag to occasionally wipe the edge of the pad.Overall I'm pleased with the pads. I have removed one star from my rating because the large pad does not fit in the paint tray provided. It seems a stupid, penny pinching thing to provide such a tiny paint tray. Also, it would be much better to provide a handle for each pad, again this smacks of penny pinching: This aside, they are good quality and do a good job with less mess.
