Liquitex Professional Satin Spray Varnish, 400 ml,Gray

Got this to protect my finished paintings. So far it’s working as expected. Spray it on lightly, don’t over apply. Wait for it to fully harden before touching.Leaves strong durable coating on your painting and really quick and easy to apply. Evens out brush marks and makes the appearance of the painting more consistent.I’ve not seen any discolouration in my artwork. Only time will tell how it stands up.While not as cheap as applying with a paintbrush you get quicker and better results. With that in mind I think it’s value for money.

I completed a mixed medium painting on an envelope for a project. It covered the paints, inks and pencils well with no weird residue or spoiling. A tiny amount of bleeding but that was more to do with spraying too close in part of the picture and barely noticeable once I held the can a little further away.The final proof will be in whether the envelope reaches it destination undistorted. Over good value for money and I'll be using on other work.

Broke abit easily and is a little pricey considering they break before you can use all the product but the product itself works very well.

I use this for sealing alcohol ink art. It does activate the ink but very slightly with careful thin layers. It doesn't smell strong, it's easy to handle, reasonable price so I'm very happy. I just bought my second bottle and I will come back to it when I run out.

Perfect finish for acrylic on canvas, brings the colours into vibrancy and creates a good finish.

This has been one of my go too products, works smoothly using gloss on my art work twice and then one coat of matt which smooths my acrylic painting out really nicely, they do tend to dry up quickly than others but recommend leaving another time between coats for it to dryMy only issues which I've seen most people review is the nozzles, highly recommend buying spares or keeping the nozzle in water after use as they tend to get clogged up and stop working or not as well as they should which can cause some issues

This is not a medium I use often, so my 400ml can was carefully stored for when I needed it. However although there is at least 3/4 of a can left it can not be used as the spray mechanism is blocked. I soaked and rinsed the cap under hot soapy water, but it still does not work. This is very disappointing as one would hope that one could use this as and when required.

Liquitex also has the best directions, tutorials & help on their main website. An all around fabulous product.

This is a good brand of varnish. It is very clear and doesn’t clog on nozzle. Make sure you turn can upside down and right side up for a few minutes at least. Notice I didn’t say shake. I will always buy this spray varnish
