I ordered 4 different Travelon bags as I was looking for a lightweight cross-body bag for an upcoming holiday. I had thought that this may be too large for my requirements but it is not too big at all. I love the two side pockets for drinks/sunglasses and the interior is roomy and well designed. I have the bag in midnight which is a fairly dark blue. I do feel that the appearance could be improved with some patterned fabrics but the bag is reasonably attractive and the safety features are a big bonus. The strap can be unclipped and then secured around a table or chair leg which will be great in a restaurant, no more eating with a bag on your lap or clasped between your feet. I am looking forward to using the bag on my travels.

I love this bag! The safety features mean that I know I don't have to cling to my bag 24/7, and worry about people stealing my purse or phone. There are 2 water bottle compartments, an easy access pocket for tissues or lip balm, a front locked compartment for painkillers, hand sanitizer and bug repellent, the main locked compartment which holds a lot more stuff than you think it might, and finally a zipped compartment next to your body which is great for tickets. I always recommend this bag to everyone!

This is a decent sized bag for travelling but not quite as big as it looks in the photos.The zip opening is about 5cms smaller than the stated width because of the way the strap is attached.The multiple pockets are all roomy, although the open slip pocket on the front gapes when the bag is full so I don't use it .Side pockets in a lot of bags can be quite flimsy but these are sturdy and even protect sunglasses.I have used this bag in Barcelona recently - I felt very secure due to the locking zips; they are easy to clip closed and a little more difficult to unclip, but that's the whole point, isn't it? I bought the blue one which is a little darker than in the photos.I have given it 4 stars because of the annoying front pocket. Delivery was quick and efficient.

This arrived today and what a fabulous bag it is. Colour is like a dark navy and this bag is just so well made. It's got tons of compartments but still feels compact. I can easily get my iPad in it plus all my other bits and zip the bag closed and best of all are the sturdy little clips which secure the zipped compartments .This is definitely a bag to take anywhere in the world. I like it so much I'm going to get another one in a different colour.

Lightweight yet strong, very well designed for great security when travelling. Not too nylon-y or plastic-y, works well as a handbag/shoulder bag as well as cross body. Nice blue, sort of airforce blue rather than navy, so a good colour for summer holidays. Really happy with the additional little torch, the RFID pockets, the secure zips and the sheer versatility of this. Good price too, I looked at many suppliers and this was the best value. Definitely worth the money for the slash proof fabric, the security of belongings against pickpockets and theft while abroad.

I took a while to actually buy this bag but absolutely love it! It's a perfect size and thought out. Handy front zipped pocket to keep phone to hand. End pockets fit a bottle of water. Comfortable to wear.

Felt really safe on my day in London with this bag. Big enough to carry everything I needed, with ample organisation, and no worries about having my cards skimmed while in the hustle and bustle of the tube station or while shopping, due to the inbuilt rfid technology. Unlike some reviewers I had no problem with the zip locks. Tempted to buy more in other colours. I've purchased Travelon products before and would always recommend them.

I purchased this bag for city break trips. I wanted the security features such as re enforced base and shoulder strap plus several internal compartments. The convenience of a pouch for both folded umbrella and water bottle influenced my choice. This bag seemed to be ideal. However, on the 3rd days of use, the upper dark blue silk lining began to come away from the interior wall in 3 small places along the seam. Within several more openings of the bag, the entire wall had become detached. This resulted in a large “pouch” to form between the exterior wall and the main compartment. Also, loose silk threads became tangled in the zip. Fiddling with this to find things took time and in itself, became a security risk, the thing I wanted to avoid. This may have been a manufacturing fault but has rendered the bag no longer fit for purpose. [19/08/18] Update - a full refund has been offered and return is in progress. An excellent bag. It has enough pockets, all of which are a good size, but not so many that you cannot find what you're looking for easily. The side pockets are lined with mesh and zip up, allowing room for a water bottle, sunglasses, or a cell phone more safely than just a slip-in pocket. The outside pockets are designed well. I keep my wallet in one, and basic little toiletries (lip balm, pressed powder compact, etc.) in the other. The one outer pocket has card slots and slots for a small cell phone or similar item, although I really don't use them much. The zippers are all nice and strong. The main zipper has a mechanism for locking onto the purse itself, a nice safety feature. The color of the purse is true to what I saw online, a stone color that goes well with silver, beige, grey, taupe and so on. The strap is easily adjustable, stronger than what you could typically find of a purse in this price range. I could use it easily as a shoulder bag, but typically wear it cross-body. The purse is large enough to hold what most women need to carry, not one of those crazy bags where you can't fit in a wallet, purse, cell phone, and water bottle (for example). It would hold a tablet or a paperback book in the center. There is a mesh-lined pocket on the interior of the main section. I don't mind canvas bags. The stone color helps keep it looking a bit more neutral and elegant, not so sporty that you can't get away with it in an office setting or from day-to-day.

I love that there are just enough compartments and a couple of RFID blocker pockets for my credit card wallet. Too many compartments gets confusing when grabbing quickly for phone or keys. The main compartment will easily hold my 9.7 IPad as well as e-reader and battery for the IPhone. This will make travel packing so much easier but it also looks good enough to use every day as a purse. When the world returns to normal and we’re back at regular sporting events like hockey games, this will be perfect. I’ll even be able to put my small water bottle in there (empty, of course) and still be able to get through the security quickly. The colour is great, the styling is pretty classic. If I have one complaint it is the strap slides off my shoulder but that is just a matter of adjusting it. I like the zipper clips - I’m sure they can be awkward at times but for any kind of international travel that’s just the complication that slows down pickpockets too. Most of the time I don’t bother to clip the zippers and that seems a simple, yet elegant solution to any inconvenience some have experienced. Most importantly, it is well made from decent material. This is an investment that will last years and worth the price. I’m tired of buying new purses and personal carry bags frequently because seams tear and the fabric simply gives out. You get what you pay for. So, for travel and every day use, I think this wee bag has found a forever home at my side.
