Worth a try and helps feel like you're doing something to protect your arm
There are two good reasons to purchase this product. Firstly, it's a cheap and affordable option to try something that might take the edge off the pain caused by tennis elbow and, second, you can actually buy this without having to annoyingly spend £20 to get free postage! It's hard to say any medical option will sort out a specific problem but I think, in this case, it's worth £4 and trying this out particularly if you've not tried anything before. For me, it has taken edge off the condition and I use it in the gym to lessen the impact of hard exercises. It loses a star because there's no instructions (surely it wouldn't be a trial to put a small leaflet in) and the material doesn't feel like it will last a significant amount of time or use. Oh, and people seem to think I'm in permanent mourning for a loss in my life!

NeoPhysio Tennis Elbow Strap
I was suffering from a combination of inflammation of the tendons in my forearm and tennis elbow so decided to research the best way to treat the condition on the internet. There were various suggestions, including the use of ice packs and tendon stretching exercises, but the main one that kept coming up was to totally rest the affected area. Unfortunately, my hectic lifestyle precluded this and, though the ice packs and stretching did help, the condition was not getting any better. The a friend advised he had suffered from the same condition and used an elasticated strap, which puts pressure on the tendons, reducing their movement and therefore helping the condition repair itself. So, I invested in this product and can confirm that it has helped. Unfortunately, when it arrived there was no instruction sheet so I had to research the correct way to use it online. Most websites advise the strap should be positioned 10cm distal of (below) the elbow and this certainly seemed to work. By rotating the strap so the gel pads were directly over the affected tendon helped reduce the pain noticeably, though not completely. Initially, I was tempted to wear the strap very tightly in the assumption that the tighter it was the better it would work, however, I quickly discovered that this actually increased the discomfort and that the elasticity of the band alone gave me the best result (I presume this will be governed by the diameter of each individual's arm). After wearing the band for a few days (including overnight) I almost forgot it was there (I actually got into the shower wearing it and only realised after I'd turned the shower on!). I must stress at this point that I did rest the arm as much as possible while wearing the strap but, where I had no choice but to use it, the strap definitely seemed to help. Negatives: Definitely the lack of instructions. Also that, after a few days constant use, I found it irritated by skin so had to give my arm a break. This may just be my own reaction to the strap but, after constant use, the area under where it had been became quite itchy. The only other negative was that, occasionally, the strap would slip down my arm and need to be repositioned but this was only when I had been using the arm extensively. Positives: If you can't rest the area completely this should certainly help, though make sure you take the time to get the positioning and pressure level right. Once you're used to it, you should almost forget it's there. Also, the product seems well made and should last well.

Far too small
Too small to be of any use to an adult.Maybe ok for very very thin arms.

Works but quality could be better
Was getting pain in my thumb/hand and a physio said it was due to tendons/muscles in my forearm (Ohh Errr :) being damaged and some compression on these would help them heal. So I though I'd give this a go and it has worked (I was sceptical)I now wear it when I have to do a lot of writting, keyboard work as it stops me from straining the arm muscles. On bad days I even wear it while I sleep and thats when I feel most benefit the following day.Overall it has worked but unfortunately the quality isn't than great (the little gel cushion has come out of its cover and irrtates the skin if not in propery and the velcro sometimes cuts into the skin also so I now wear it over a shirt etc to stop it touching the skin
