Like all Rhodia products, this one is designed with careful thought. The fold-over cover is protective but doesn't get in the way. The paper handles all sorts of inks, fountain pens, and brushes without buckling, bleeding, feathering or ghosting. Each page tears off to A4 size neatly and without any fuss or frustration. Sturdy binding and card backing. Lovely to write on. Worth the extra £ it might cost over other brands.

This book is incredibly high quality. Nice solid construction. The cover also has the unique quality that it is designed to be folded over the back while the book is in use, without damaging it. Altogether a great little book, ideal for students, or casual use.

Great quality writing pad, good value for money, pages detach easily

I love yellow plans for making notes/ plans/ general writing.It's really easy to find amongst other paper in a folder & (highly subjective) find it much more pleasant to look at than white.Decent yellow pads are not super easy to find in the UK & this is definitely some of the nicest paper quality. Works well with all types of pens & inks that I've tried (some of the white Rhodia pads I've tried before have been slightly glossier and caused fountain pen ink to smear easily).My only complaints are the perforations can be a bit awkwardly placed on Rhodia pads, personally I'd prefer some sort of glue retention with less risk of tearing the page or placing the perforations lower down with a taller tab above to make them easier to get at.It's also one of the few products that I find is frequently over priced on amazon.

The pages of the notepad tare apart clean and straight without extra tearing of the pages. Good size for doubling as a 'to go' notepad as well as a handy on desk notepad. The 5mm squares are great for engineering drawings too.

I am SO happy to have found these little squared (ok, quadrille!) pads - thanks to a previous reviewer who stated it had squares, as this is nowhere to be found in the product description!! I was a little shocked with just how yellow these are (thus I suppose being called legal pads..!) I had hoped to find the ivory quadrille and the search continues. However, these little pads (yes, I stocked up!) are perfect to throw in the handbag and contain the smoothest paper around! These pads are ideal for fountain pen use, although, because of their smoothness, you DO have to be a little patient and allow the ink to fully dry on each side otherwise there is a chance of spots on other pages. Of course this depends on the ink being used, the wetness of the pen, the lining up of the ink planets and the phase of the moon. But, patience can overcome any obstacle.

Reasonably good paper. Mustard yellow in my opinion.

Tried them all, this is my favorite smoothest yellow pad on the market! Great for Lefties, too!
