a better sound stage
I bought these to replace my SR365e. A definite improvement in sound quality, sharpness, a better sound stage. Contrary to some reports I find them very comfortable and light to wear.

Incredible.
I bought these after finding my sennheiser hd650’s a bit veiled. These fit the bill perfectly. A much more forward and energetic sound but with an excellent tonal balance across the entire range. The only fault i have is if you have an lp that has sibilance these will not tame it like the hd650.

Brilliant headphones
I cannot praise these headphones high enough.I use a cd Walkman and the detail of the music is astonishing,even at low volumes.I find them very light and comfortable to wear. The only downside is the price,but personally for all the hours of enjoyment rediscovering my collection it is worth it.

If you are expecting Grado sound, you will be disappointed
Grado headphones have their own sound, which is usually quite a bit clearer and livelier than most. Sadly, these lose almost all of the good things about Grado and don’t address the downsides. They have no impact whatsoever, pace is slooow and voices lack any emotion or realism. I’ve had quite a few Grados and these are the worst by a mile. Even SR60s sound more vital. I found it hard to finish any track without skipping, as these are just so boring and bland. They offered me no satisfaction whatsoever on any level. These were run in because I bought used from a Grado dealer, so the sound I got is representative of their usual performance. On the plus side, I liked the build, the cable is lovely and they are very comfortable. All pointless when they sound so utterly dismal though. Whatever you do, don’t buy these unless you have the option of a free return.
