Very happy with this box so far. I read most of the reviews before ordering and am glad I didn't pay too much heed to those complaining about it being difficult to assemble or not being waterproof - both are incorrect. I think I may have received all those folks' instructions that said they weren't included - as I had about 10 copies in my box. No damage at all. Only purchased this last week. Agree that with 2 people it is very quick work to assemble (~5 mins). It is very sturdy and feels robust. It says it can sit two - and while it does seem sturdy, it is plastic and I wouldn't risk it. Once plastic breaks, you really can't fix it. We've had a big rain already and I tested opening it when the top was completely covered in water. There was maybe one or two drops off the back into the bin itself - not more than that. So in my book this is very waterproof - outdoor cushions can take a couple drops of water.Highly recommend this one. I will add photos when I'm able. Again - looks exactly like others photos -both customers & amazon description (so please ignore reviews that say it doesn't - as I can't imagine what they are talking about).

This is a good product and went together easily. The hinges and pistons work well and it keeps everything dry. It does what you expect it to do - unlike the smaller box which I also bought.

Pretty impressed with this item.Price is good.Looks pretty elegant in my garden.It feels very sturdy thanks to the steel beams you insert to support the length, so I'm confident it could seat three people without problems.Capacity is huge - I've loaded it with four chairs + seat cushions, a huge suitcase, a large dehumidifier and 30 litre tank to go with it, and I ran out of stuff to put in the remaining space.I assembled it alone with very little difficulty - the hardest part was inserting the steel beams as there were rough edges to the plastic which blocked it going all the way through the other side and it took a bit of working it in and out to place them. The instructions indicated you need two people to fit the lid but it's not very heavy so I managed it alone, it just meant holding it slightly awkwardly with one arm while I screwed the pistons to the body.Instructions also recommended gloves when fitting the steel beams, though, which is good advice - they were awkward enough and sharp enough that I'm 100% sure I would have cut myself if I hadn't worn gloves.

Delivery of this item was excellent. It arrived a few days earlier than expected. The quality of the garden chest is very good. It is spacious and has proved fully weatherproof after a number of very heavy rain showers since it was received and assembled. For a plastic item it is rigid, well designed and easy to put together. Not cheap but good value for money.

Instructions for assembly seemed fine but 3 of us (all of fair DIY abilities) found it hard to put the box together. When we did, there were gaps in the corners which will make it less than weatherproof and which look imperfect. I intend to go back to the manufacturer to seek answers. If this problem hadn't occurred we'd have been happy with the look and capacity of the box.

This box was expensive, but we needed a very large capacity box for our numerous garden cushions. This has taken two large sun lounger cushions, four chair cushions, two bench cushions and three pillows. The box is strong and easy to put together. It can be used as a seat, although it’s quite high for that. It looks good with a cover and a couple of cushions on top. Despite being huge, it isn’t obtrusive. We are very pleased as it has freed up lots of space in the shed.

Easy to assemble singlehanded. It started to rain as I completed it and rained all night. Completely waterproof until I opened the lid and let the water lying on the lid pour in at the hinged side! Clearing rain off the top before you open it definitely recommendedA few months later, still no water ingress. However, not wasp-proof! When I opened the box after a few moths the wasps were not happy - nor wasI@!

Some reviews said it had been sent back and some bits were bent , this was brand new , nothing second about it. Had the instructions , it was the size listed , and im very pleased with it. I put it together on my own , but it might need two people for the lid .
