Great Product
Great little product. Bought this as my first underwater housing to taking on a diving holiday. The control system is brilliant and it's easy to use. Had a lot of fun diving with it. Would highly recommend this housing for anyone who wants to take underwater photographs. Great value for money also.

SO far so good!
I have been very happy using my camera case for diving. It seems great. It is not too big and easy to use ;-) Overall I am very happy with it.

Think carefully
Does the job but not really robust. Have had one fail already, fortunately without a catastrophic flood. This is the housing to get for flexibility with INON lenses but is definitely the weak link. More expensive robust housing versus compatibility, a hard decision.

Pretty good - great photos have resulted
I bought this a couple of years ago and have used it several times, in swimming pools and the sea. Have taken some great photos (in my opinion!) of daughter, wife and fish. No problems with leaks or anything like that, although you've got to be careful about keeping everything bone dry inside to avoid condensation. My only criticism is that it's very difficult indeed to see what you're photographing. i.e. to see clearly the display on the back of the s95 when you're in water, wearing goggles and looking through the back of the housing. That's probably more of a comment on the camera than the housing but still something to bear in mind.

Great at first but not that robust
I have had this housing for 20 months now and used it on about 60 dives. it has been really great up until this month. It was very easy to get the Inon lens on and off and I have taken some great macro pictures. However now, the part that pushes the shutter down has become slightly loose and bends, with two problems, one that sometimes you have to press very hard to get a shot and often the fish has gone by the time it takes the picture. More recently at 30m on the last two dives, the shutter appeared to lock permanently on which meant you could only take a picture if you turned the camera on and off with no time to focus it. Washing out the housing has helped but there is still some stiffness in the controls. If you dive a lot it may be worth spending more on a more robust housing. My husband has the Ikelite for the same camera which has performed better.

underwater photography and video on a budget
If, like me, you want to enjoy the underwater world and record it's beauty, but don't want to commit to large expense and cumbersome equipment, then this housing is a very handy option. Most divers who are photographers, will take a sharp intake of breath at the notion of spending in excess of £1,500 on a bona fide underwater SLR system. Most of them however, will want to take photos underwater, have reasonable size image files and a degree of quality, without the cumbersome weight. This housing, available with neutral buoyancy weights, dedicated to the Canon S95 and easy to carry, either snorkeling or diving, is the answer. The housing is quite robust and allows access to all functions on the excellent S95. Handled with care it will last. The S95 has HD 1080p video and the quality of filming underwater is excellent, so one will have both options. The S95 also has Raw facility to keep the photo enthusiast happy and generates raw files of 12-13MB @180dpi, pretty impressive for a camera the size of a packet of cigarettes. Not something SLR systems will match. The other consideration is flooding, every dive photographers' nightmare. The financial outlay for this housing and the camera (if you don't already have one) will be around £350.00 used (as of June 2012). One has to accept accidents will happen. If they do you haven't broken the bank. You won't find that kind of durable housing with any other camera for the same price, given that when your not using the housing you have an everyday, high quality, very portable camera. Fuji makes a camera (FujiF600EXR) which also has a dedicated housing for £380.00 or so. I cannot vouch for that product as I have never used it, but it is mentioned for information purposes. You could spend £260.00 on a Nikon all weather, waterproof camera, but this will only go to depths of 10 metres. The Canon housing allows you go to 40 metres. Altogether a well made and affordable housing without stealing all the holiday spending money.
